Am I completely missing the boat here? What is so terrible about RealPlayer? I don't go out of my way to install it or anything, but some of the hate/disgust/etc seems a little odd.

real is annoying, stupid...crappy...and not very widely used...If I miss out on 1 video a year because I don't have it installed...i dont mind. Real alternative works...and I install it occasionally but most of the time i just avoid real
