You should spend the $5 for the BL1 Windows GOTY during the Steam xmas sale. You'll finally be able to master Brick's secret "punch things until they die" technique.

Joiiinnnn Ussssssss......

All my built up toons & DLC are on xbox and I doubt my old pc would handle it very well. The thought of starting BL1 completely over isn't all that appealing.

I'm still hooked on BL2, just hit 64 with Sal last night. And haven't even started some of the DLC yet. Did Hammerlock on VH & TVH, although didn't finish the egg and rare monster hunt quests on TVH. Only did Torgue on VH before going back to the main for side missions on UVH to gain some levels. About to the point of going back to Torgue on TVH. Still have Pirates and Tina DLC that I haven't even started.

When should I start doing the dlc and in what order? I just beat the game and I'm a 38 or so gunzerker. I'm sure this has been asked before a million times but I can't find a definitive answer

For the DLC's I'm not sure what triggers the max level for enemies. But so far the ones I've done the enemy max level that I noticed:

VH low to maybe mid 30's
TVH low 50's
UVH I haven't maxed out yet

One exception I did notice was one certian side mission in Torgue they were in the 50's on VH. What the starting levels for them are I don't know, I'd already at least cleared the main story on all three levels before starting them.

As for which order, I started with Hammerlock since it seems to be everyones least fav, figured they would get better from there. Did some of Torgue next, then I'll go to the pirates. I'm personally saving Tina for last since it's the one I'm pretty sure I'll like the best.

TVH in the main game and DLC all cap at 50. Once you hit 50--you should unlock UVH no later than 52, anyway--you should primarily be doing content in UVH.

enemy and item levels only scale in UVH, which is sad.

as for DLC, I tend to save them for when I unlock UVH, because I am burned out on the main campaign by then. At least, I will go back and forth and complete some missions in the main campaign, here and there.

UVHM is a very different monster, so expect to be shocked when you can't kill anything at first--you must slag everything...which is kinda lame, but whatever. Most things will 2-shot you, so be prepared.

The only way to start feeling godly again in UVH (as you probably did at the end of TVHM and NM) is to max 72 and hit Digistruct Peak to start your OP leveling. This will overlevel every mob in the game, depending on which OP level you choose to start (you select this on each login once you unlock each successive level). You will gain no more levels after 72 yourself, but loot will also scale to those OP levels. This means that you can re-gear everything to your max unlocked OP level, say OP5, then start a game at OP 0 (level 72), and use all of that OP 5 gear. or any OP leveled gear that you have access to.

Even being way overleveled, I still do the DLC on VH first, then go up. I like to look around and not feel rushed or in danger for the most part while checking it out. Did the same thing in BL1.

Took a break from the easy and went back to the main to knock out some side missions on UVH. At the point where I'm ready to go back to Torgue for a TVH run. After I get them all done on VH & TVH with some main UVH side missions mixed in to get to 72 then I'll just go to the peak.

At times the challenge of UVH is nice, but on the flip side it can become tiresomely tedious also.

Barring the PC issue, you could just convert your save files using WillowTree as it supports the PC, PS3 and 360.

I didn't know that willow could convert between platforms, nice to know.

Although it's probably better if I forget it. My wife doesn't hardly ever play any games but has gotten hooked on candy crush, she hasn't found a game she likes since 1vs100 was going on through xbox.

Going through Pirate DLC and finally made it to Hyperius last night. When I entered a message popped up in the lower left, but I missed what it said as I was focused on watching what he was doing. Anyone know what the message is?

not sure what that is--but I wouldn't worry about it.

One thing that happens whenever you approach the gate to the raid bosses (Hyperius, Gee, Dragons, etc) is that the game suddenly thinks you are in 4-player. The difficulty will instantly adjust, and remain that way until you save and quit.

You can test that this has happened by looting containers. Once it hits multiplayer, you will be able to loot all ammo (except grenades) indefinitely, even if you are full for each one. This will happen in the loot boxes in the room just outside Hyperius gate. You can use this to your advantage by Fast traveling to maps that have a lot of potential Tubby spawns--like skaags or spiderants--and farm them for their legendaries. bear in mind, you will be facing lots of badasses (tubbies are classified as badass, so this increases their spawn rate)

It's possible that this message was to notify that the difficulty level has changed. I've never seen it happen myself, when approaching Hyperius.

Ok. Afterward I did notice that I was picking up all the ammo as I was heading out. At first I was thinking someone is about to be very disappointed since I was only on VH for this go through of the DLC.

I've only done some on VH & TVH, but what is up with these new raid bosses. Last time I killed Terra he dropped way more E then it cost to get in but the others aren't even dropping what it cost to get in.

the DLC bosses seem to drop a shit ton more in UVHM....we took down Hyperious in TVHM and he hardly dropped anything (no seraph crystals as I think those are only UVHM??) when we got him in UVHM he spewd.

Speaking of DLC bosses, has anyone had luck taking down Voracidious? Any tips? we tried using that Hunters sniper you get from Animal Rights on the witch Doctor so he couldn't transfer his shield but our sniper is only lvl 62 we're 72. Are there other weapons that ignore shields?

Seraph crystals are UVHM only. I haven't tried Voracidious yet as I primarily play solo and I don't yet have a class that can do it, as far as I know.

Hmm, I don't know of any other shield-ignoring guns beyond the Tresspasser. You can also use it to knock off Pete's helmet at the beginning of the fight while he is shielded.

Roger that, mabey I'll try that editor and replay the mission to get a 72...

on another note, and mabey this is common knowledge, but I finally figured out how to use the Flakker..in my case I have a juicy flakker and every time I'd fire it, my shots would come up short or overshoot...

But, if you look at the aiming reticle in the scope there is a yellow circle with a yellow line through it....when the line goes red, the gun hits full damage everytime (out to a certain range). I rarely use scopes on shotguns so it can kinda be a pain when a guy is moving around a lot but it works and I'm glad cause I wanted to like this shotgun and now I do as it deals massive damage especially when it's paired with an explosion damage relic.

The Flakker truly is amazing and once you get the target distance down, has the potential to out-damage the DPUH--considering that it can flakk the flakk out of a large mob.

It's difficult to use however, so most people turn their noses at it.

Made it Gee last night and the message popped up for him also, it was something about players having less health when revived.

Gee was a time consuming pain. It didn't appear that any of my shots were even doing damage (no damage numbers popping up), just the acid pools that kept coming and going for quite some time then all the sudden boom he's taking gun damage. Is there some trick to get him to actually take damage from the beginning of the fight?

You have to draw Gee into the acid pools so that he will take damage. Kill worm, create acid pool, pull him into the acid. fire away.

You can use singularity grenades, like the Quasar, to do this for you.

He will also spawn with various rocket launchers, and if you know what parts to look for, can plan strategy before the fight. If you see Maliwan exhaust, for example, you won't be able to dodge those rockets by strafing. The Torgue exhaust--I think--will be slow rockets that are easy to manage.

Something like that. there is a video somewhere

Ok, I did kill him (on VH) last night it just took some time since I wasn't doing any direct damage for most of the time. Was wondering if there was some trick to get my guns to actually damage him from the start.

I think they added Gee about the time people were 1 shot killing terramorphous...they wanted a boss that couldn't take gun damage, that you had to kill by other means...

Which, that is crazy to think people could take down terramorphous with 1 shot...or even in 1 minute.....how much damage was the bee shield doing back then?

Money Shot can still take him down in one magazine.

same with Immolate/glitch Siren.

I'm so confused what are these things like Money Shot and Gee and Flakker. I've got a pair of level 52 characters and I don't remember Flaking the Gee or getting Money from the Flak.

Before they patched the Bee, it added the listed damage to everything when fired. So say a shotgun with x5 pellets would get the full damage boost to each pellet.

There was also the Evil smasher glitch that has since been patched. It would boost damage and fire rate to extreme levels. I used it offline to rush through a couple of char using a level 10ish Infinty through TVH.

Money Shot is a Gunzerker skill.

Master Gee is a raid boss from Captain Scarlett DLC.

The Flakker is an orange shotgun that the warrior can drop.

The Warrior is the final boss on the main campaign - it can easily be killed solo.
