Borderlands 2 release date and preorder

Getting to end of Tina Tina's DLC and I must say it was extremely well done. We've been farming up the 3 wizards, probably 20 runs or so, and scored 7 legendaries....they seem to come in spurts with those guys but they are by far the best payoff we've seen. Last night in 5 runs we got 2 flakkers, a volcano and a conference call. And how bout that Sacrifice table on the way up there? We ended getting 2 chubbies out of that...I give you these CHUMPS

Anyone have any tips for killing the ancient dragons??? We had one only about 1/2 down after 10 minutes and 2 of them have leveled up to 80.

One of the dragons will level up the others. You need to try and take that one down first. I forget the color though.

I think I recall something about not shooting the dragons at all before they leave the ground. Something like if you use any element (including slag) on them before they leave the ground, they will be immune to that element once in the air.

well, that's how these games are designed, frankly. You will never hit max level on one playthrough, so if you want to unlock all those skills in a class and actually see what they can do, then, yes--you have to complete at least halfway through UVHM and most of the DLC (also, preferrably on UVHM).

Normal mode is also just way too easy. No, I'd rather them not "force" the multi playthroughs if you want to get the full experience, but it is what it is. For people that are into the looting and gearing and build system that the game is designed around, then that's pretty much where you go. yes, it's grindy, of course. :\

Because it's so damned much fun. Different classes play in totally different ways. I think I'm on play through 6 right now.

those would be the Mechromancer and Psycho classes.

Yes, they are very good--particularly the Psycho Pack (you get both of these with the GOTY). Try to get them for less than $5, which has certainly happened several times before.


There is also UVHM2/Digistruct Peak which is not part of GOTY or Season Pass. It gives you +11 level cap (up to 72) and an ultra hard map for the masochists. If that's your thing, then you have to go for it as well.

(UVHM"1" is Season Pass and GOTY, so don't confuse those two. I'm actually probably misnaming the Digistruct pack as UVHM2, but that's how it was labeled early on. UVHM, in addition to the first level cap extension to 61, added a complete playthrough: Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. the UVHM2/Digistruct did not add another playthrough, but did add that level cap increase and the new digistruct challenge map. Again--awesome map if you like tackling extremely difficult content. it's designed for teams, but you should try it solo. I could only finish the first 3 of 8 runs ). It also allows access to overleveled gear and lets you set mob levels to levels 8+ of your character in UVHM....it's nuts.

The replayability of both these games is what helps make them so great.

I feel like I'm cheating. I'm playing as gaige and have the upshot robot skill where it gains 5 seconds for every kill. I just beat handsome jack and the warrior and my robot is out in the final room. He's killing the birds that fly by and never going away, meanwhile, I'm raking in the eredium, gold, and xp. I've gained 3 levels already and all I've had to do is once I had to respawn the robot for whatever reason, but aside from that, it just keeps gaining xp for me. This is probably a well known tactic, but heh, I think its cool.

Careful, your weapons are not leveling up while you do this. So if you gain 10 levels and go into True Vault Hunter Mode you might find your guns are a bit wimpy to deal with your on-level opponents.

Or maybe not, I'm not sure what maximum level TVHM will set the areas to. If enemies stay at 31-up instead of jumping to 39 you'll be fine.
