That's pretty much how I setup my zero almost exactly except I put a point in the kunai and viper. Kunai can mark a target and doesn't break your deception. I like viper because I've gotten a ton of double criticals and since my second shot gets a crit bonus from successive sniper crits...big dmg.

How'd you get points in Viper (Tw0 Fang) and Kunai (Death Bl0ss0m) without filling the middle tree?

Played a LOT last night. I think the accuracy is a LOT diff here than in BL1. I too was all about ACC..... Here (GRANTED EARLY ON) I watch my precious bullets miss high left or low right.

And iron sight aiming (I USED to love pistols... NOT in this game so far). I know I am getting old but DAMN.... If it DONT have a scope, I am shooting from the hip. Anyone else having that issue?

Iron sights are for the most part abysmal. The gun designers must have never seen a real gun before. It's actually ruined what otherwise were good guns for me.

Sort of. The game just seems off somehow. Like you can empty a whole clip in one enemy and not kill them; I mean just a regular enemy, not a boss. I have only found one really good weapon, and always have to use up all my ammo for it before I get to the mini-bosses. And it seems like the enemies just keep coming until you are out of ammo before the boss battle. I also found that zooming with iron sights is really difficult so I just stopped trying. Thought it was just me though

I am only level 9 though. I just got to Sanctuary, and my friend that is quite a bit further in the game says you start to get some good loot there. At least I can now have more classes of weapons, that should help with the ammo problem by having ammo for each class.

I guess I am sort of rambling, but one more question. What class are most people using? I started out as the Siren because I though that class was really strong in the first game, but not being able to phase-walk sort of takes the fun out of it. Seems like most people are talking about the commando: is that the strongest? I went back and started a character with that class, but dont want to go through the initial levels again where you have such lousy weapons.

I read your whole post and I have a few recommendations:

1. Make sure you are going for level appropriate quests. It will tell you the quest level in the quest info before you accept it. An enemy that is even 1 level above you will be very difficult to kill, 2 levels or more is really frustrating. It sounds like you are a pretty good FPS player so you may have progressed faster than was intended.

2. Check the deal of the day in the gun vending machines every time you pass one. That is where I have gotten most of my good weapons.

dang the cunning tree is looking pretty tasty with the 30% chance to fire an extra shot every time and the kunai ability. I was a bloodwing/pistol Mordecai last time but also used sniping extensively. It seems that the cunning tree might suit me better, but I also want the sniping skills! decisions.

Agreed. I also don't see why you need infinite money...there's WAY too many crap guns laying around to sell for spare cash. Then again I'm only level 10 so I don't know how it scales as you progress. And I wasn't lamenting the loss of infinite keys, just pointing out that it was patched right away.

If someone really needs infinite keys or wants to have it, there are trainers that give you unlimited opportunities to open the chest even when you have no key.

I'm getting pretty awful "lag spikes" or stutters today. The day after release everything was fine, but today the game updated and it's darn near unplayable. Normally I would think it was the new samsung ssd, but the game was totally fine before it auto patched today.

Anyone else getting performance issues?

Helps to have a shield that makes you immune to fire damage. Otherwise run, a lot.

It took me 3 times, as I like to bum rush people and it wouldnt work with my config....always a hit or two away from getting him. Then I went old school and ran circles around the center, so that he was always opposite. Then just pot shotted him to death. He did seem kinda tough for a first boss, but I dont pay attention to my loadout vs what the enemy is. Good to know I wasnt the only one having a wtf moment. :biggrin:

Maybe use a sniper rifle and just keep your distance?

That's what the health pickups are for. There's also many skills that boost your health during your action skill and such, and some shields give you health regen.

Personally... when he first killed me I just stayed on that upper level you respawn at and shot at him. He came close and I could just spam him without issue. It was cheap but it worked.
