No, it's just a random loot drop, of a specific type. You don't have to enter the code immediately. It should be available for a number of days, so you could always get a number of levels first before it expires.

OK, thanks, if they're just normal drops I won't bother with the save game. I already entered the codes prior to 7/4 and didn't won't to end up burning something nice.

I think ideally you want to finish playthrough 2 before doing any of the DLC, because at that point (I believe) all the DLC scales with your level (up to level 50 anyway). You have to start Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode for things to scale past 50 I believe.

My highest character is a lvl 36 Zerker so I'm only a little ways into TVHM at this point.

fyi.....We are are just mopping up TVHM side missions and doing DLC...enemies are scaling into the low 50's into the DLC....we are level 55.

So far we've done Sir Hammerlock and the Carnage one. Last night we finally took down Terramorphis...hurray... kind of bummed though, im siren and my bro's Assasssin and he drops a orange Gunzerker mod...Seriously??

I wouldn't do that. Then you won't be able to appreciate the different tiers of power increases. You have nothing really to look forward to at that point other than gear.

I think you're ignoring one important thing. Those codes that provide a class mod base the level on the next character that you load. For example, I loaded up my level 50 Mechromancer, and all of the class mods that I received are level 50. If you wanted max level (61) class mods, you would need to either wait to enter the code or download a character.

...or you could just use a save game editor and artificially raise your level for the time being!

Terra ALWAYS drops a orange class mod. Just keep killing him and you will get one for your character.

True, you could do it temporarily. I didn't know there were save editors.

Do you know if there is an equivalent of that Willowgame or whatever app there was for BL1, for BL2?

There's been a WillowTree 2 in development for pretty much as long as Borderlands 2 has been out, but to my knowledge, it isn't working yet. The one that I linked is probably your best bet as it seems to have most of the functionality. The only thing that I don't see in that editor that was in the original WillowTree is the ability to edit quest status.

I'm starting TVHM now that I've beaten the main game. I haven't done any DLC yet. I guess I'm going to wait until I beat TVHM to play the DLC's. This game does a poor job of helping guide you as to do what when.

yeah, it was the same problem with the first one. I thought they would have fixed the balancing and mob level issues, but it actually seems to be planned.

Bear in mind that for early buyers, there is no DLC, so a lot of players already have a few characters through 2 playthroughs by the time DLC is released, so the impetus is to give content meant for higher levels. I suppose the only way to make that work for some players like us that purchase it all together, is to scale the levels, which ends up being a poor experience if you want hard content at later levels.

I just completed TVHM and about to start the DLCs... my question is if I should be playing the DLCs in TVHM or UVHM? And is there any order to which to play the DLCs?

Don't hold your breath. At this point, I've become extremely critical of Gearbox because of their say-one-thing-do-another mindset. Prior to the release of the game, I asked developers on live streams whether they were planning on fixing some of these balancing problems. They said that they realized that there were issues with the first game and that they were looking for ways to fix it.

That's developer speak for, "We ain't doing shit."

Gearbox seems to only want to take the easy way out when it comes to the actual mechanics of the game.

The first DLC came out maybe a month or so after the game.

Yes, they do come out quickly, but the main game can be relatively short. First playthrough will probably take some time, as you tend to do more of the side missions, but after that, I think the players tend to grind their characters through rather quickly. Should be able to finish 2 playthroughs within 2 or 3 weeks of regular playing.

though it seems the regular game for BL2 is longer than it was for BL1

Do them on UVHM, if you do them on TVHM and level past about 54 or so the level 50 equipment TVHM drops will severely handicap you when you do decide to do UVHM. To the point of it being nearly impossible to kill anything.

True, though you could always use that Gibbed character editor and lower your level back to 50 or thereabouts before staring UVHM.

If this thing can increase my account storage (the claptrap stash), then I will scream like a little girl.

I would love to get those class mods before the keys expire, which means I need to temp level a toon, but also have the storage to keep them on hand for a very long time.

You can always de-level to around lvl 50 once you get to UVHM.

That said, perhaps it's not THAT bad. Once you get to UVHM, if you're lvl ~54, all the enemies will be around that level too I believe, or perhaps a level higher. I suppose I'd worry about that once you get there. You'll probably find gear replacement soon enough anyway.

You can de-level in UVHM? How do you do that?

Theres slot machines that take eridium in dlc 4 aswell, they seem to have a pretty good chance at popping out a blue/purple and its super easy to farm eridium from the warrior or something. or the slot machines in sanctuary, the great thing about uvhm is the machines are always your level so you always get gear you could use.

the archers shots are pretty easy to avoid just wait for them to shoot and strafe an inch to the left or right :-D hard do to when you have lots of things around you i know but when you just have archers it makes it very easy to avoid their shots. the town with the vendors and the such isnt too far from where you start with the dlc just gotta rush thru or kill the 4 or 5 packs of skeletons in your way.

I know I'm late to the party, but just got the game thanks to the Steam Sale. Trying to decide what class to play. I normally favor the spy/sniper route and there's the assassin, but I'm not sure if it'll be as fun as the other classes.
