lol adding a stupid delay to nades tossing only nerf'd it if you didnt use Mirv HEX's nades.
Although Mirv Hex nades are extremely difficult to get. I have only gotten them twice now.

But Moze is beyond broken with them and vampyr + crit nades + that other skill that allows you to regenerate grenades on % each time you crit.

She is beyond broken. The only problem she runs into is Anointed which have elemental immunity, but then if you pull out a shredder, thats GG there with her nearly endless Ammo from that same perk which lets u get more nades.

what you want is a Flakker for your primary gun. I think it's the same as BL2/TPS, and counts as grenades or something, right?

I dont like the flakker.
The range on it is dismal.
I run the maliwan legendary kill-o-wisp.
It fires a big slow moving ball of lighting that zaps everything in its path.
Its like the demon hunter skill in Diablo 3, Nether Tentacles, before nerf, as it will zap things many times along its path.

Flakkers are spectacular, you just need to learn how to use it. A lot of the guns here are weird that way. I don't like the Conference Call because of its weird behavior and very specific semi-medium range that you have to be in, but it is a generally great weapon. Best on huge targets and mobs.

That's also a high-survivability build, so you don't need much range.

Bloody Harvest question

I am getting very frustrated with this special quest. Cant seem to get enough tokens (or ectoplasm, or whatever they call it) to start the quest. I started in TVHM mayhem 3 and got some ghost kills. I am playing solo, and got frustrated with that difficulty, so went to mayhem 1. Today I have played for at least an hour, and no ghosts have spawned. Do you screw it up if you lower the difficulty?

I have 3 other characters in various levels of the first playthrough, and today I tried all 3, and cant get ghosts to spawn with any of them. Do the ghosts spawn only in certain places or during certain quests? Can you have more than one character playing Bloody Harvest?

This quest seems like it would be a lot of fun, but there is very little documentation about the details.

As long as you are on the quest, the ghosts should spawn. I think I had a run through where they didn't seem to be appearing so I just logged out back to the character select screen, made sure it displayed all the spooky pumpkin art and logged back in. That seemed to fix it.

As for making sure you get enough tokens, that I can't really speak to as I haven't messed with changing Mayhem modes. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the quest is selected in your tracker. I had collected 25 ectoplasms, given them to Maurice to open the gate then logged out. When I came back later the gate was gone. I was pretty ticked that I had to collect 25 more but as soon as I selected the quest from my log the gate reappeared.

Huh, that's weird^. The gate should stay open once you open it, and you can keep traveling in and out, as long as you don't kill the end boss. (you can, but you just have to go about collecting shards again. Ignoring the boss and fast traveling back and forth is better if you just want to farm that map for...event achievements and some annointed terror gear, I guess.


...but I also haven't had problems with the ghosts spawning in regular maps, on Mayhem. I've been going to a spot in that GINIVIV ship on Eden-6 where the dinos spawn off of the waterfall, to farm loot ghosts, and it's endless ghosts of all types on that map. Just make sure the hotfix applies on the load screen and you see the halloween background. Otherwise, the even isn't available.

Must have been a glitch or something. I restarted a couple of times and now there are ghosts everywhere. I know I had the update applied, because the ghosts were appearing for a while, then stopped, now working again. Really glitchy game for one that had so much time for development and debugging.

They had what, seven years to develop this game? And it certainly is not cutting edge graphically or AI wise. Didnt they like, you know, playtest it before release?? As much as I wanted to play the game, if I had known it would be this bad, I might have waited a couple of months, or even until it came to steam.

Yup, it's another watch for the story on Youtube game for me.

I have finished the game with one character in normal mode, but cant really generate much enthusiasm to play through with other characters or even play TVHM mode with this character. OTOH, BL 1 and 2 (hated the pre-sequel), I played through with every character through TVHM. Nothing wrong with this game, but it just seems to be missing something. Part of the problem is the characters do not seem that well balanced. The beastmaster seems clearly superior for solo play, so I dont really have much motivation to try to build stronger characters from another class.

yeah, I definitely don't have the pull with this one that I had with the others (even TPS, which I actually liked because some of the characters were pretty great). I think the way the maps and quests are set-up, the missions just aren't that fun (I was actually feeling a bit tired of everything before my first playthrough...it just started getting tedious and over-long).

But the skill trees are indeed more interesting than I thought--both Flakk and Amara have some very serious builds, and not just one each like ...pretty much every other borderlands game. I thought the multiple action skills would just either be samey or leave you with the "clearly one is superior. the rest are garbage," ...but it isn't working out that way. matching them up with their proper infusion skills, whatever those are called, and really more useful overall trees in each class so far. ...I am interested in the next level cap though, and whatever else they might do with skills. On top of the increased levels, there should be a couple more skills tacked on and some adjusted by one of the earlier DLCs, if the early dev notes are to be believed.

Amara has a really strong suspend-chain-crit hit the map sort of spammy build right now, that is just bizarre. It looks weird, but checks out when you play it. But like a lot of them, there is some important gearing--specific legendary class mod--that is really hard to farm right now, because of the random loot tables...which is also soon to be patched into boss and mob specific, which will be a bonus. She's got a pretty good Samsara build..sorta, but also a heavy elemental build that takes advantage of one of those Maliwan pistols, to shoot yourself on fire for like, 10s (weak low level pistol), and gives you near 200% damage to that element--but this is also a specific relic, I think, that is required. again legendary, and again a bit too rando...but there are similar variations on that that are still really great, at least for Mayhem 2. ..I haven't played much on Mayhem 3 with my weak version of that (without the self-harm pistol fire spam; but there is another really strong option that focuses on ricochet shotguns or something) but it's still quite OK.

That Flakk leave-no-trace crit thing though, it just wrecks, lol.

And being revived by your pet, which is great for single player builds.

Yeah, I see that is very helpful, but in the skillpoint-limited world of a level 50 cap, I just prefer to save that precious point for something else...like just more health or something.

I like to stick to the classic Launcher in slot 4 for the more desperate FFYL scenarios.

That is what I did in previous games, but maybe I am missing something, rocket launchers in this game seem seriously underpowered.

A lot of them do seem to be of the lobbed mortar splashy variety, so definitely not helpful at all in most situations. I've picked up a few Vladoff and Torgue versions that are pretty good though, at least for those hits.

It seems I always have some sort of Jakobs Masher in a weapon slot in all of my toons, and that tends to the job effectively enough, though, heh.

kinda what was expected with the way BL2 ended and all the vaults popping up on all the planets....does kinda lend itself to a hub-based MMO if they do it right.

But....but....but.....
You’ll never own the game since it’s a multiplayer mmo....

Was a good game... would consider buying on Steam if there's anyone on here who wants to run through another build

It also appears to be 50% off if you're looking to pick it up. I have to temper my "must have it on Steam!" mentality since I already own it on Epic.
Since I have some money left over in my Steam wallet, I am hoping I can register it on steam and buy the Moxi DLC on steam.

FML... i just found out if you have no internet, the game wont load at all.
It will just hang.
I thought my game was broken last night, almost ended up reformating my pc, because a cousin of mine wanted to play.

Sigh...

Gotta love that Online DRM gate.... I guess being able to play games offline is now a thing of luxury and the past.
