What are you talking about needing to pick up whites for BAR? You only get a few levels for picking up certain quantities of each quality and then it ends. It doesn't keep accruing as you continue to pick up garbage items.

right but it's an inverse scale of the amount you need based on quality. So by the time you probably actually notice the system or give a damn, you might be a bit later in the game, maybe eve a second playthrough, and start thinking you want to pick up the trash.

Also, I do think they either revamped BAR to make it unlimited, added many extra levels or something like that. ...and you can always reset it.

This is good to know, though. Kinda annoying how a lot of current games still have issues with UW format.

That's what i got, supposed on next set of patches, no issues in game though, runs fine from the 10 minutes i played this morning.

Yea I get that too... it'll be fixed, though. Some people have said that disabling Fidelity FX makes the cutscenes work...

I'm also having an issue where the UI is seemingly not scaling correctly and it's affecting where I click.

Kinda sad that the game is an epic exclusive.
I think steam is dying, they are losing AAA game publishers left and right.
I also heard that rockstar might jump ship as well.

Seems like Gabe majorly pissed off all the AAA title holders, and they are destined to take down steam.
I may also need to install the Epic Game launcher soon as this is not looking good for Steam.

It's only an exclusive at the moment. It's already been confirmed it's coming to Steam.

I honestly don't understand why everyone is freaking out about Steam dying. I've heard so many people say that they are being forced to install Epic because Steam is on it's last leg, yet they have absolutely nothing to back up their claim that Steam is going out. People were freaking out when EA pulled out and started Origin, yet Steam is still way ahead of them and the same goes for Epic.

The only thing I foresee happening is people keep jumping ship to all these new digital distributors, then more people start to play the games on consoles because the PC community shot itself in the foot by dividing itself within itself. I'm doing the same thing that many people are doing and just waiting for BL3 to hit Steam. We've waited 5+ years and it's not going to kill anyone to wait another six months (not to mention six months of patches and possible DLC).

I hated steam in the beginning, then came to like it for the good prices, now I am kind of in the middle. Dont really think they have such great sales as they used to. I just dont like having to install so many clients. Worse for me was the download time due to my slow internet, and the fact that the game was 50gb. I was more upset this time because I have money in my steam wallet which I could have used if it had been on steam.

I was unaware ultrawide was not implemented. I got the game Friday night but haven't been able to play it yet. I've been reading the Reddit subreddit and watching stuff on YouTube about it. Apparently many PC users are experiencing stuttering when aiming down the sights and fps loss in general.

That's what I did, currently playing it on PS4. Plus my computer is pretty old. With people mentioning poor performance decided to play it safe and just go for the console version for now. I may end up getting it for steam later on depending on how I like it. So far I am enjoying it, but it is pretty much Borderlands 2 with everything being bigger/better/fancier. Negatives so far are same cringe worthy NPC's and dialogue, same juvenile humor, same repetitious fetch quests that don't seem to have anything to do with anything. Positives are that the guns seem much better, really liking the alternate fire modes. Maps are much bigger, but they at least added challenges hidden around them, so it's not as boring as before. Gore is back in a big way which is great. They way they are handling skill is much better too.

I'm not a big fan of epic store either but it's just another launcher so I used an email I use for junk and created an account with as little info as possible.

They offer 14 day return policy on games as long as you play 2 hours or less. I believe this is similar to what steam does.

I much more prefer steam but I've also heard the reason most games don't go to steam is because of the percentage cut steam takes which is like 30-40% I think.

I don't know who told you it was Epic exclusive forever, because it's only ever been a 6 month thing before Steam gets it, just like Metro.

I'm liking it so far... sort of testing out the different characters solo before settling on a first play through build; I really like the mech pilot and the beast master.

I started with the siren. I never extensively played the other games for long. I've done the first and second story mission. Can't say I like the guns very much. The ones I've picked up are alright but it seems somewhat difficult when many enemies come in to play. I'll have to do some side missions to see if I can find anything else.

I don't get the inventory menu. I can't tell which gun is better than what I have as the layout is pretty confusing. I'll click a gun in my backpack and a box pops up somewhere on the left by what gun I have equipped. Sometimes a second box pops up on the right with stats.

So far I've noticed many fps drops. I'm using the quality preset settings from the hardware unboxed video I posted earlier. Getting 80-90 fps on ultrawide 1440p but there are time it tanks.

I started with a Siren, that was my favorite build in the original game. I later read some guides that said that was not necessarily the best build for single player, so I am trying Beastmaster and the Operative. Like them both. Strangely, one of the Beastmaster's skills is much like the Siren's "phasewalk" from the original game.

I agree, it is difficult to find good guns early game. I am actually playing on "easier" difficulty, and still find I am getting mobbed a lot.

BTW, do any of you switch between single and multiplayer with the same character? If I take a level 5 or 6 single player character into multiplayer, I get killed almost instantly, because the game matches to the same level and the multiplayer characters at the same level have better gear.

well, that might be your problem right there with finding a good gun and dealing with multiple enemies. If this is anything like BL2, then those guns get underleveled real quick. You should just pick up whatever junk falls on the ground and keep swapping them out if you find bigger green numbers, sell the old stuff. Starter guns are very bad in BL games.

Loot was really good in BL1, as you could use good guns for many levels after their set level. That stopped with BL2.

and yeah, multiplayer is just dropping into someone else's game. One player becomes the host. BL3 has a new level scaling setting for multiplayer, but I forget how it works. IIRC, each player ends up with their own specific leveling on mobs and loot, when both players are very different levels, even on the same game. It's weird and I'm not sure how that's supposed to work.

Used to be able to power-level new toons by joining a friend's late-game character, and letting them rack up XP for you on their late-game kills.
