Been playing solo so far and hit lvl 9 last night.
Has anyone figured out how to get to the robot in Fyrestone that can be seen from the top of the weapon store roof?
I generally ask people if they need/want and item and will ask if I can have an item that is better for my class. And so far people have been decent about it. was in a pretty good group where everyone cooperated well together. Got the Achiev for playing with a gearbox employee or someone who had.
Was hysterical though when I had 3 berserkers in my group and they'd all go nuts meleeing enemies and end up starting duels from hitting each other
just an easter egg.
I got through 1 playthrough with the soldier and started a siren. Don't really like her much so I may start a hunter or brick instead. It's keeping my interest enough to want to play w/ the other classes which doesn't happen often.
I just started playing and I've got a level 9 soldier that I've only played solo so far. I just killed nine-toes, if you haven't already blew past me feel like teaming up?
So just a heads up - I started this game playing with friends who were of a much higher level than I was. I missed basically the entire game the first time through, as I just sat in the back, racking up EXP while they killed everyone. We even did the final mission - where I ended up jumping like 7 or 8 levels in that span (ended around 32-33).
Turns out, that was the best thing I could have done. Playthrough 2 is epic. The enemies are tougher, the loot is better, and it's all-around more enjoyable.
I'm just about level 50 now, getting ready for playthrough 3, which I hear is even more epic - with level 51 enemies abound. Should be a good time.

I'm playing on the PC, but, yeah, you spend a lot of time as a Siren ducking back behind cover waiting for your shields to recharge. But phase walk is an insane skill that will save you over and over... my favorite is to get near death, shift, run _behind_ the enemies, and then unshift. After waiting for a little while to recover, I can totally hit them from behind in a surprise attack. Very satisfying. She is different. But once you get an elemental artifact her phase walk can do some serious damage. Just can't take a lot of hits so it's a different style than the soldier.
there are reports that the siren is the most overpowered class is the game right now. people are asking to get her nerfed a little bit.
I've had the quest to repair the vehicle place since I was level 7 but I put it off as it was rated level 10. I've since made it to level 9 and was wondering if there was a bonus if you can complete a mission that is listed at a higher level than your current one?
Sure. I'll add ya on live and see if our gametime ever overlaps. I play pretty randomly depending on projects and desire to sleep.
I'm trying that as well, but I got a little stuck after killing Nine-toes as the only 2 mission that were showing were both lvl 10 and I was only lvl 7 at the time. Went back to <sp>Scag Gully<sp> and stumbled upon an item that started a mission to find 2 recorders. Between doing it and killing some extra crap I ended up at level 9.I'm finally up at level 33 now with some decent gear.
I've been taking the critical missions very slowly trying to build up my character first.

Just haven't decided if I want to just go back there again to see if there are any more missions triggers or go ahead and try to kill ?Bone? again, he wiped the floor with me back when I was level 7.
Do the BS side missions and quests you find on the Bounty Boards. Also, find the claptraps and fix them because you'll gain more storage space which is an absolute premium once you get higher and get better weapons.
Furthermore, by doing these missions you'll earn money and you should purchase weapon upgrades early because that shit gets way expensive the higher you are, at least in my experience. You're early enough that you can do a few mission quests and still be ok, there are quite a few and they give you a lot of XP. If possible, you should play with someone who is a much higher level than you are. I'm usually on at night (utkan0s (that's a zero)) if you want to play some time. Send me an invite
The bounty board only had 1 and it was lvl 10 also, so I haven't went back to accept it yet. I didn't know until last night that there are other side missions that start by picking up an item.
I haven't found any claptraps yet except the one that I can't get to in Fyrestone or I would be all over that. Hate having such a small inventory.
What are you calling weapon upgrades? I did a quest that gave me a nad mod, but I haven't seen anything for sell except increasing your ammo capacity for the different weapons.
I'd prefer to go co-op with someone close to my level as I don't want to be rushed through. Although I've been wanting to try MP.
I didn't find any claptraps as of yet. Has anyone found some before moving on using the car to open the gate?
