Borderlands coming Oct 20th

A few nights ago me & thraxen happened to be on at the same time. We decided to go after one of the large ones and holy crap. I kept asking myself what the hell was gbox on when they came up with this. Even with that I still find myself wanting to knock the others out also.

I'll try to be on a few times this week... at least by this weekend. I've been busy with "3D Dot Game Heroes" on the PS3 the past week so haven't seen much 360 time. That should change when I finish 3DDGH and get "Red Dead Redemption" in for the 360 from GameFly (shipped Monday).

I found a decent spot in the others when doing the small fights, but I've got my fingers crossed that we can find a good spot like we had in the gully.

Started working on a siren, around lvl 17 so far, and came up with this build idea paired up with an ammo regen merc mod. Anyone have any opinions incase I've missed something.

We had some crappy rules on the ruins last night, but at least that one is now over with.

Down to just Hell-burbia now. The spot I found while doing the small fight isn't no where as good as the ones we had on the others. It mainly gives some cover & there is only one way in, but you can jump off if you get rushed too bad.

We did the gully last week and the ruins last night, so not too bad except the 3-4hrs it takes each.

Stealth bump for my thoughts on the game and the impending 4th DLC release.

My brother, a friend, and myself picked this up last weekend and have been having a blast. I had always heard good things about this game but was too sucked into WoW to peak my head into the console world.

I started with a Hunter and hit level 20 last night with a Sledge kill. I just read through this entire thread and like someone else said, I find myself sorting and comparing guns more than I play the actual game . I'm loving it so far, I've been speccing into becoming a completely bad-ass sniper, which I think I'm succeeding at. One thing I don't like about sniping is how sometimes the enemies dart back and forth without any kind of natural movement. Makes it hard to hit when they cut back the other way instantly when you pull the trigger. I guess that since most of them just stand there, though, it makes up for it.

I've mostly played duo with my Soldier friend, but have gotten in a play session with him and my Beserker brother once, which was a lot of fun. I'm not going to buy any DLC right now, going to wait until I finish the first play-through and see if I'm still interested. Sounds like I need to completely skip the arena DLC, doesn't sound like fun.

I can't believe this game has been out almost a year... and I still haven't come close to finishing the original campaign. I don't have any friends to play with.

A little heads up on the DLC:
Zombie - I didn't get it so I can't say much.

Moxxie - Gives you access to a locker to store gear in. There are 3 arenas and each is split up into small challenges and large challenges. The small ones take 1-2 hours each and the large ones take 3-4 hrs each. The only bonus is an extra skill point for beating all three small ones. This can be done on each playthrough though for 2 extra skill points total.

Knoxx - A must have if you decide you like the game. It ups the max level to 61 along with adding more different loot.

I actually enjoy it a lot going solo. When I'm with my friend, the pace is a little more frantic, where by myself I can go slow and methodical, which is more my style. Plus, as a sniper, it's nice not having people ahead of my blocking my view from constant moving or me having to run up into the battle to revive.

I liked DLC1, but it doesn't add much. DLC1 just adds new areas and some weapon brand unique class mods. DLC2 doesn't add anything in the way of a story, but it includes a bank to store items and more skill points if you beat the arena. DLC3 adds more story and more levels as well as new class mods ( if I remember correctly ). Personally, I own all 3, but that's easy as hell on the PC when you can get it all on sale through Steam for $30!

I know I'm quite late to the party, but anyone still playing on Xbox Live? I've finished the main game and Zombie Island, working on General Knoxx now. The DLC has gone on sale again this week so I'm thinking about getting Claptrap's Revolution. I'm game for some coop if anyone is interested.

PS: My understanding is that Underdome isn't that great so I haven't gotten it, anyone disagree?

Underdome is only decent because Moxxi is funny but yeah it isn't really worth it unless it's thrown in with the other DLC. It's just an arena pit with stages, and you have to restart stages if you get killed. Pretty annoying.

Claptrap's is worth getting though.

Moxxi is only worth it if you care about the skill points you get from beating the stupid thing. You can do it twice, once on each run, but it really doesnt matter if you arent a min/maxer

I've had a 69 Siren, and 61 hunter & soldier.

Here lately I've been going back to it off & on with a zerker and got him to low to mid 40's so far. If your around the same lvl I'm up for a team up.
