I've got a PTA meeting to go to tonight, but I should be online by 8:00 this evening if anybody wants some help. I'm a level 29 Warmonger (Berserker +22% team dmg) at the moment and just picked up a pretty brutal orange shotgun. Found it on the Middle of Nowhere vending machine, 82 x 7 dmg, 9 round mag and fast reload. I was testing it out and was shredding the faces of level 29 badasses without too much trouble.

nice, I found a shotgun that was firing 1 180dmg 1xExplosive slug from that vending machine. Best thing about it was the quote "Holy crap! It shoots rockets!"

Hahaha, my friend (tcbscott, I think a few of you have played with he and I) had one of those shotguns. I couldn't stop laughing the first time I saw it.

Up to level 15 with a hunter, playing entirely single-player right now but really enjoying myself. Although the item randomizer is driving me nuts. Yesterday, I found not one, but two magenta-colored items in a chest. I was all "Say hello to my little friends"... and then noticed that they're both level 25 items. Frack.

They must have had a very limited run. I got the last one at Gamestop two days after it was released and they still haven't gotten more in. It's also out at my local Wal-Mart.

It's strange it's selling out everywhere and there's still hardly anybody playing online.

btw, what the hell is up with sledge's shotgun? It has such amazing stats but 0.0% accuracy.. is it supposed to be a joke or just for melee?

it's basically a berserker weapon, rush in fire both rounds melee then berserk and go nuts. Not very good though. Actually I've found a lot of the weapons from boss drops aren't all that great.

it is for up close and personal and it is damn good at it. Use for bosses and stuff that gets in your grill.

I used it way into my 20s when in close quarters or killing a boss.

For those of you who have made it to New Haven, there are 4 chests in the town that have pretty good drops (all up on the rooftops). I've gotten 4 orange grade weapons, ~10 purples and countless blues in about 10 runs. You can do "runs" by just exiting and reloading the game, at max ~2minutes per run you can find some awesome weapons pretty quick and sell the rest. I think you'll be around lvl 23 (?) by the time you get to new haven.

Chest 1: from where you spawn, face away from the entrance, the chest will be on top of the building to your right, climb up the yellow barrel to get up.
Chest 2: from where you spawn, face away from the entrance, run up the stairs directly in front of you, jump up on the washing machine to the roof, look behind the satellite
Chest 3: from where you spawn, face away from the entrance, go forward then down the alley to the left past the weapons vendor. On the left hand side you'll see the corner of the building has a patio, jump up the big gas tank, jump to the fence, jump to the patio.
Chest 4: from Chest 3 drop down to the red container and walk towards the outer wall of the city, carefully jump to the roof up to your left.

this; even with a second controller the loot was crap accept to sell.

Yeah I did it for awhile and got mostly bad weapons. I did get a Legendary GGN Volcano sniper that is actually, surprise, really freaking awesome. Sold everything else for cash though.

yea I got some eridian sniper weapon. Which at the time I thought was cool since I hadn't seen any alien tech. Then I realized how shitty the energy regen on it is. Are they all terrible with regen?

I've only found a couple of the alien weapons (pistols), and yeah the regen sucked. 4 shots then ~8 seconds of regen. Also they slow you down for some reason.

Ok yea I had the same thing happen. I found a sniper rifle and a shotgun. I was going to use them just to get the proficiency up but it wasn't worth it.

So, a question - only the host gets credit for performing missions? I started a co-op game with a friend and we cranked through a lot of the beginning missions. Today he hosted and we had to redo them - with our saved characters. Did we do something wrong? Is it just for the beginning missions or what?

Missions should be completed by all if you're around the same level. As long as nobody got the message saying "host is too far along in the game" or something like that then everybody should get credit AFAIK.
