edit: Another 15 minutes of watching confirms that yes, indeed, nothing ever happens in this game. What a yawnfest.

PC Gamer UK is giving it an 86%. They're usually pretty harsh, so that's a good score for them. If you can't play a game for 15 minutes without some sort of epic boss battle, then yeah, you should probably stay away.

Actually they made it pretty clear that they didn't start the DLC until the full game was into certification.

You're not forced to buy the DLC and it's a full game without it, personally, if I like the game, and I want more of it once I'm done and they release another good chunk of game later down the road for $10, I'm going to get it. If the island in the DLC is the size of a Circle K and there are only 3 new guns, then probably not.

Gearbox has made it clear for a long time that they planned to introduce DLC for the game on an accelerated schedule once the game was out. If the DLC is worthwhile for the price, I have no beef with them for it. At least they're not releasing it day and date with the game like Dragon Age.

I don't mind the DLC, as long as it's not stupid, such as the alien stuff in Fallout 3.

I'm not sure I am thrilled by the zombie fad being the backdrop for this one.

The only reason I'm hesitating is cause amazon lists their release for the retail version as Oct 20th, and someone mentioned that the steam release reflect the international release date, not the US release date.

I have no idea if it's true but I'm kinda holding out till the 20th to see if any retailers break street with the PC version.

It is a funny video, but strangely enough and without knowing the man himself I do picture Randy Pitchford to be that exact type of person in real life, and apparently IGN also thought the same, but at least they approached their thoughts with humor.

I know Pitchford is a huge fan of PC gaming in general, he's said a couple of times that the PC version of this game will be a lot better than the console version from both a graphical and performance standpoint. Hopefully it'll sell well enough that whatever sequel they put out also makes it to the PC.

The game seems to be consistently scoring between 80-90% today with all the reviews rolling in. A lot of those reviews are for the 360 version, so the PC version is obviously going to have a leg up when it comes to graphics, performance and control.

So far, I'm pretty happy about what I'm seeing, can't wait to actually get my hands on the game.

I don't even really care about the delay, they did what they had to do. What's gonna piss me off is if some warez copy starts making the rounds because a store broke street date on the PC version, so while I'm waiting on my Steam version to drop, there are thousands of warez monkeys playing the game while I can't

Well, the Xbox torrents are over 3 days old, so I'd expect the same for the PC version.

That has to be wrong. 2K announced that the game has been delayed to the 26th for optimization reasons.

That's probably because they haven't updated it, because tomorrow it's only the console versions that come out, PS3 and XBOX 360, the PC version comes out next Monday the 26th, but there's been some stores already breaking the release date and selling it for the consoles, even last week some copies were apparently sold at least in the U.S and perhaps Canada, probably not in Europe though.
