I agree 100% You can't be a follower of Christ (a Christian) if you don't believe in the Word of GOd, which states that the only way to heaven is through Jesus.
And then the interpretation debate ensues. If the only way to heaven is through Jesus, are there several ways to Jesus? Also, since Jesus created all things (John 1), wouldn't it be impossible anyway in a sense to do *anything* completely uninfluenced by Jesus? Finally, is it possible to be "saved" without knowing it? (i.e., Jesus is your means of salvation although you're unaware, as in the case of infants or those who have never heard.)
