I wasn't intending to single you out. This is the first time something like this has happened in the age of facebook and hopefully from here on out folks will keep this in mind.

I didn't think you were talking about me anyway, because I specifically didn't mention the streets where they were setting up. Just saying it's hard to be responsible when TV stations are broadcasting live and showing the street signs.

My prediction: police scanners are going to be changed so the public can't listen in on them.

Apparently the guy's real Twitter account has been located and it was mostly talking about sports.

I found a version of the Reuters article on their UK site.

Going to try to actually get some work done, so will only post if something noteworthy comes up. I hope the LEOs in Watertown stay safe.

So once again, just like with the Dorner case, the suspects get caught for stupid reasons. They were robbing a 711? Really? Were they short $20?

Why do they not plan properly? Multiple getaway vehicles, exiting the country immediately, shaved heads, etc?

I really hope the one guy lives so we can figure out wtf is going on.

People who commit crimes like this aren't exactly mentally stable. And I'd wager they FBI was closer to them than they let on, so they didn't act like this. The noose was tightening and they freaked out. Needed some quick emergency cash and a get away vehicle. I would suspect that the leaked info probably tipped them off.

I just heard on the scanner: guy in custody "has nothing to do with the guy we're looking for". So there's another story to get fleshed out.

Interview by relative on cbs is worth watching. He gave the adress of the kids parents on live TV and offered to take reporters over there to talk to the family. Good god I feel awful for that family. Uncle was quoted as saying he deserved to die for what he did.Uncle mentioned speaking to him days ago on live tv as well.

Richard Jewell, a suspect for months in the Atlanta Olympic bombing, died far too young at 44 years of age of natural causes. Who knows how much that great stress affected his health.

While I'm a big believer in innocent until proven guilty that only applies to government action. If you get to murder your baby and are only subject to community backlash you got off pretty fabulously IMO.
