AQ, through their magazine Inspire, has been recommending bombing sports events for quite some time now. They also recommend amusement parks and other areas that have nothing to do with Islam. The point is to spread fear, that's why they recommend those venues.

Ahh, makes perfect sense now, when using something as slow burning as gunpowder you have to contain the pressure a bit to make it go boom. If they were using something that burned quicker, like ANFO, would using a pressure cooker increase the yield as well?

I believe another characteristic sought by bombers is that the pressure cooker allows to you to shape, or force the blast in a certain direction.

The Republican Senator who was sent ricin was one of the Republican Senators who voted to end the filibuster on the gun bill.

It is highly possible IMO that there's some angry gun nut from Miss who did the bombing in response to the gun bill. Given the simplicity of the bomb compared to previous Al-Queda efforts, I'd bet it's a lone wolf who read it up on the internet, planted bombs.

Remember,

2. all 26 miles seen as significant as that's the casualties.

3. takes attention away from guns

4. Boston, tax day, original American revolution.

So, the Newtown people get a lot of sympathy and as a result people support anti-gun efforts. You counter that by blowing them up? WTH? That would just give them even more sympathy. That makes no sense to me.

Also the Newtown/Sandy hook people were seated in the grandstands. The bombs didn't even target the grandstands.

Why would patriots/pro-gun nuts target even target Boston? What happened in Boston is something they would seem to honor and revere. I don't understand why they would attack it, and of all days on Patriot Day? WTH?

I can't recall pro-gun nuts ever bombing anything either. And no anti-gun legislation has even passed, or appears likely to.

This kind of attack has been called for for years by muslim terrorists, in fact they tried before in New York but it fizzled.

Therefore simple logic and common sense says the likelyhood of this being the work a muslim terrorist VERY high and all others extremely low. To deny this fact is to show extreme demented bias.

Perhaps you know the radical right better than I, but I cannot remember the last time I saw anybody (other than proggy members here) the slightest bit concerned with the Kennedys. They're irrelevant today (and in prison or rehab).
