I heard one expert speculate they could have ties but also that they could have been acting independently and even radicalized with the help of the internet.

This to me always seemed the most plausible. I really hope the younger one does survive to get a window into the radicalization. Collectively we know the how strong the internet is at making social groups and radicalization can come from many sources. Its very interesting to me how the younger brother was socialized and had a relatively normal upbringing as were seeing from all the friends being interviewed. One even mentioned him smoking pot outright on CNN.

The uncles interview on ABC was telling.

We will probably find the older brother was the catalyst.

The poll listed foreign-born muslims.

Actually the poll has Islamist listed
An Islamist is a person who studies Islam, not a terrorist in any way.
Yes a lot of posters on this board have it in for Islam, and have redefined the meanings
Can't blame them though, US media has really contributed to this

Chechnya is mostly Muslim, but that's not being anywhere actuate either.
You got to divide it up a lot more

Islam is the predominant religion in Chechnya. Chechens are overwhelmingly adherents to Sunni Islam,[39] the country having converted to Islam between the 16th and the 19th centuries. Due to historical importance, many Chechens are Sufis, of either the Qadiri or Naqshbandi orders. Most of the population follows either the Shafi'i, Hanafi,[40] or Maliki[41] schools of jurisprudence, fiqh. The Shafi'i school of jurisprudence has a long tradition among the Chechens,[42] and thus it remains the most practiced.[43]

When talking about Muslim terrorists in Chechnya, I don't think any of them were doing terrorism because they were having a war against the Infidels

I believe so, I seen a number of interviews with the younger one's friends. Been here for ten years, well liked, played HS sports, had a gf and was living away from home, going to college down in Southern MA.

But they also said he was friends with a number of wealthy foreign students, who knows if there's anything from that.

Sounds like the older brother was the leader/influence.

Nonsense. Al qaeda has ties to Chechnya. Chechnya is one of the many Islamist territorial claims.

I'm not interested in playing the "No true Muslim is a terrorist game" either.

Can you show me where you are getting your info on Chechnya terrorism?

I picked local homegrown terrorist (sudden Jihadi) because I felt that was the case.

I kept saying in this thread that the damn ISLAM religion comes first for quite a few Muslims no matter what Country they live in.

Honestly, how far can you trust a Muslim living in a Western Country at war with Muslim radicals?

I don't vote in polls that expose the voters for that reason. People should not be pigeon holed for having a varying opinion, being right does not make you smarter...it just makes you right, THIS TIME. The simple truth here is that NOBODY was right on this one, if the official story is true.

Of course, a lot of people find it odd that the suspects waltzed into an area crawling with feds and bomb dogs without being noticed. Here is a good story pointing out some glaring issues with the official story and those two guys being the bombers:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR_dPiRHU84&list=UUvsye7V9psc-APX6wV1twLg

The two guys shot a police officer and threw bombs at others as they attempted to flee..... Pretty sure we got the right guys.... Perhaps they are voluntarily working with the US government for this false flag? Wonder how much it costs to get someone to take the blame for an event like that and then do shit like beg the police to kill them?

Kind of like how do you trust people of Japanese decent living in the west when we are at war with Japan?

Yet America kisses, holds hands or bows before the country that funds the Madrasas that in turn create these monsters, for oil profits, now the jihadist chickens are coming home to roost.

Its not for "oil profits" its because we don't have any other choice at the present time nor the political will to give us another option.

What point are you trying to make?

The poll option clearly says Islamicists not Arabs. You do realize there are non-Arab Muslims right?

You do realize there are non-Muslim Arabs, too, right? Seems a lot here get confused on about that as well... anyhow

These guys are pretty far removed from being middle eastern islamic terrorists.. hopefully they get one and get info to see if they were working alone or not.

When Japanese-Americans start planting bombs and running around shooting cops all in the name of the Emperor Hirohito is when you can put interred Japanese Americans on the same page as these twits.

You must not be religious..pretty sure most Christians would put their religion before Country.
A flag draped on your coffin don't mean much when your burning in hell for eternity

If Spidey moved in next door to me, I would move..I wouldn't want one of his stray bullets to hit any of my family
If a Muslim moved in next door to me, I would welcome him to the hood..

You think they haven't tried? All the attacks have failed so far.

This incident spotlights how absurdly easy it would be to launch literal dozens of attacks a week if they so desired using material that is very easy to obtain by damn near anyone without drawing attention. The worst part is how much bigger of a boom could have been very easily made with something like ANFO, again sourced completely here in the states.

For A group that could coordinate something like 9/11 this should be a walk in the park.

So if a dozen Japanese twits did the above it would have been perfectly fine to round the rest of them up and put them into internment camps in direct violation of our rights and freedoms?

What else do you believe should trump our rights and freedoms?

Yeah, you can't trust those damn theists and their beliefs in "gods". We need to round them all up.

On the contrary, because they're so removed from Mid Eastern nationalities, and yet share the same religious tradition...makes me think that it is Islamic extremist inspired terrorism.

The only common thread is Islam.

That's ridiculous. My boss is a Muslim, I have friends who are Muslim. I've known these people for years and I trust them.

What it's not some gun nut or right wing extremist? Funny how you try to play off your wild accusations on who did this bombing.

Agree, I know and have worked with many Muslims over the past 20 years and all are angry at those who claim to do these evil acts in the name of their religion. Most of these people I know would give anyone the shirt off their back and that includes people who are Christians or Jews.

I worked with a woman up until a year or so ago. She was Lebanese, a muslim and despised the people who committed these kinds of acts in the name of Islam. To the point of hostility.

Fast worward to a few weeks ago and it turns out one of her sons, one who had left and just vanished a couple of years ago, was one of the terrorists who took over the refinery in Algeria. He was killed in that attack. So was a white boy from here who had just recently converted to Islam.

Point is even though the child of this woman turned out to be of the worst perverters of Islam, I do not question in the least the contempt she always displayed. Shit happens and sometimes you just can't explain why certain people choose a specific route.
