My totally ridiculous prediction;

He never knew what was happening, was scared shitless afterwards, gets temp insanity out in 20, goes on to teach at Columbia University.

Or, a distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a mentor to Obama.

Oh please, the FBI questions one of the brothers and tells his parents they're checking up on his web browsing history then they let him go...and it's a CONSPIRACY? Quit the police state crap, nobody wants your damn guns.

In all honesty though, I'm very concerned with what the auto shop guy said (the one interviewed on CNN who said he saw the younger brother Tuesday after the bombings). He basically said the boys didn't have money, yet all of a sudden the younger bro had a Mercedes and was wearing $900 shoes. I wonder if some foreign group paid them off to carry the attack. I almost wonder if it's possible the brothers were hoodwinked and promised more money and safe passage AFTER the attack (perhaps they weren't willing to be suicide bombers) and then found themselves high and dry and stuck in Boston because their ride didn't show up. Foreign group...maybe. But not the FBI.

..what islamic mosque were these guys going to?? and who else goes to that mosque?

This was a epic law enforcement screw up. The massive tax money spent on a full spectrum alphabet soup of cop agencies..both these guys under surveillance since at least 2011 and look what happened. Rest assured this will happen again and the same alphabet soup of complacent cops will have their firewall of excuses.

Yep, the FBI should have just locked them up when they questioned him and didnt have any evidence of any crime being committed or planned.
I'm sure that, being the great American that you are, you would be for suspending rights of Americans for no other reason than the government going on a hunch.

It's not a corrupt government we have to worry about, it's people like you we should be worried about.

This is exactly the play book for terrorists going forward, live amongst us for many years prior to carrying out attacks, they have called for this tactic due to its advantages for getting under the radar. Doesn't change the fact that those who carried out the attack were foreign born and that this is an important and significant distinction form being domestic born.

Younger brother will be pivotal to our future efforts to prevent this next time if he is honest about what he knows. I'm sure FBI is already running a net around anyone within a few degrees of separation from these two. While the older one was in Russia I'd hope we look at foreign born individuals traveling from America or eventually to America who were there at the same time with a bit more tenacity than we do the domestic born if the cut has to be made. The FBI is after all doing just that.

Now if I could only get you to think this way regarding gun control

most likely you are correct.

in fact, the mother of the suspects just stated the FBI was in contact with her family for years, and that they were "controlling" her eldest son. perhaps this is why the FBI had to finally admit they were in contact with the brothers years ago, after all the footage surfaced of unidentified military contractors standing feet away from the blast site, then subsequently photographed working with the FBI during the cleanup process. they were at the very least, clearly tracking him.

www.youtube.com/watch?&v=ARE9rclZCqw

“He was controlled by the FBI, like for three, five years,” she told Russia Today during an interview. ”They knew what my son was doing, they knew what actions and what sites on the Internet he was going [to], they used to come…and talk to me…they were telling me that he was really a serious leader and they were afraid of him.”

“How could this happen?…They were controlling every step of him, and they are telling today that this is a terrorist attack,” she added.

It's interesting what the mother says here. The FBI was basically setting this whole thing up on one hand, while on the other, they were covering their own asses by going to her and telling her how her sons were terrorist "leaders" and how afraid of them they were. That way, when they finally pulled off the attack, the FBI could say, "we knew they were up to no good all along, which is why we questioned them and monitored them".

They have several ways of both setting up terrorist attacks and distancing themselves from the perpetrators at the same time. Just enough so that the dumbed-down American people won't pick up on the connection and how the FBI is almost always involved right from the beginning.

to many of the alphabet soup cop agencies are populated with uniforms and badges that do nothing else but salivate over their Cadillac benefits and count down the days till retirement. You really think they are going to do the hard work and homework to stop these guys?? Hardly. In the mean time shut the fusk up and pay more taxes to keep these bloated cop agencies flush.

So either they are incompetent or criminally insane. Does it really matter which?

(Can we stop pretending these people "protect," us?)

What I don't get is why would they do this horrible act?

They escaped a war torn Country and entered "paradise" in the form of America.

You know how many people would kill to live in the USA.

They had soooooooo much freedom and potential.

Why the hell would they turn on America and become a terrorist???

makes no sense to me in a way

There's no need for anyone to pretend anymore. Our kangaroo courts have already answered this question for us.

The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the police did not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from harm, even a woman who had obtained a court-issued protective order against a violent husband making an arrest mandatory for a violation.
The decision, with an opinion by Justice Antonin Scalia and dissents from Justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, overturned a ruling by a federal appeals court in Colorado. The appeals court had permitted a lawsuit to proceed against a Colorado town, Castle Rock, for the failure of the police to respond to a woman's pleas for help after her estranged husband violated a protective order by kidnapping their three young daughters, whom he eventually killed.

So, the question should be, "if the cops don't exist to protect us, what do they really exist for?".

What exactly is it you think the FBI should have done? They don't have the resources or funding to monitor every single person who might conceivably post a threat, whether or not they've actually done anything, nor would most Americans be willing to tolerate this from a civil liberties standpoint.

Here's something I'm not clear on, maybe you guys can help;

The report is that once he was known to be in the boat, there was a "shootout" and "exchanges of gunfire", which by definition, would mean he had a gun of some sort.

I cannot find in any mainstream media report what kind of gun/weapon he had on him at the time? Handguns? Rifle? Does anyone have any link that goes further into the "second shootout" and how it was carried out? I'm disappointed this is neglected by mainstream outlets...

Man, give that shit a rest. Ayers is probably one of those annoying leftists who thinks Obama is a totalitarian dictator.

And he's definitely not a mentor to Obama. At worst, he's just a dude who lived in the same neighborhood as Obama.

Just so we are clear.
