I haven't even began looking into how what where or who was injured or killed. This is obviously a sad situation but the first thing that comes to mind is "What freedoms are they going to go after next"? Its coming and you know it.

There's not much for them to go after. No backpacks (or more bag searches maybe)? But that is already enforced in a lot of places already, so that's nothing new.

Several news sources are stating that the two bombs were placed in a trash can.

The liberals in congress are probably already busy writing legislation to outlaw those deadly trash cans

Yeah, I know... too soon.

Why is it OK or acceptable to speculate that this attack was perpetrated by a non-government entity (lone nut, domestic terrorists, Saudi nationals, etc...), but not OK or acceptable to speculate that this attack was perpetrated by a government entity?

What's the difference?

The difference? You aren't toting the very uniform line of thinking you were programed with. Must be an error in your code. We've got to silence people like you.

Some of you are real assholes...

Way to take this incident as a chance to crack jokes about banning things.

Ahh, good old tax day. You can smell the freedom and liberty in Boston. Terrorized Enough Already?

You are a pathetic excuse for a human being and a piece of shit. Using the deaths of innocent people to make a political point.

You are nothing but a coward.

I dont underestimate the governments ability to construe anything. But thats getting into the "good guys" doing something wrong and we all know that couldnt happen could it?

IDK anyone who in their right mind would want such a thing. Yet those people do exist I'm afraid.

What, one can't make fun of typical liberal reactions to disasters?

I assure you some lawmaker somewhere will be exploiting this event for a lot more than grim humor.

We live in a society that lets sociopathic rich folks pay other rich folks to tell the middle class that the poor or people who do not conform to their view of establishment are subhuman/takers/parasites. Hopped up on endless fear and outrage, the media calls for assassination of doctors etc. If its not some right wing economic hatriot movement its a Muslim right winger blowing shit up for their old tribalist mentality/"traditional society".

This happens every yeat nowadays, same story.

Isn't that better than the people who take incidents like this to really ban things? :hmm:

UM Coach: Bomb Sniffing Dogs, Spotters on Roofs Before Explosions

http://www.local15tv.com/mostpopula...Spotters-on-Roofs/BrirjAzFPUKKN8z6eSDJEA.cspx

University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.

"They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it's just a training exercise," Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15.

Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He's been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., Chicago, London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before.

"Evidently, I don't believe they were just having a training exercise," Stevenson said. "I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in."
Stevenson had just finished the marathon before the explosions. Stevenson said his wife had been sitting in one of the seating sections where an explosion went off, but thankfully she left her seat and was walking to meet up with him.

"We are just so thankful right now," Stevenson said.

Looks like the government isn't telling us something... big fucking surprise.

Are you that dense? There are probably multiple threats of some degree at every single event, big and small, accross the country. Is "the gubment" supposed to cancel everything? Warn everyone before every single event "hey, we've got about 30 random peices of evidence that point to that fact that something might happen, so...uh...be safe out there."
What exactly do you expect to be done differently? You conspiracy kooks are just funny 99.9% of the time, but that .1%, you're annoying. But only briefly.

Appreciation to all the doctors, nurses, and emergency workers. I saw video of the explosion followed by the cop on screen running at it.

Sympathy to the victims and their families and loved ones.

Honestly, it's sad, but those were some of my first thoughts as well. . . . really pathetic how little we trust our government . .
