Did the same deal last year and for the money, there was a ton of food.

it depends on the location. some stores are managed better then others, and its still somewhat of a processed food factory, but i think its a lot healthier then say kfc...

When we moved into our house, there was one nearby and we ate there a lot. Too often actually, we got tired of it and haven't gone back in years. Just don't go late in the evening or you'll get stuck with dry meatloaf.

Where we live, there was a BM close by and we just go order out every once in a while, later it closed and we ate less because the other locations were further away. Food is ok, we miss the one closest to home. I think we'll make a trip out this Monday for the family meal. Thanks OP for the thread and link.

This is for carry out or dine in. You can order and pay online too, if you prefer. That's what I did last year.

There is a camera crew in front of him recording everything he says. Common sense dictates one be on their best behavior since you do not know who is going to see the tape. Management would be remiss to not take action as your hero doesn't care about damaging his company's reputation on National television. Maybe one day you will understand the ramifications of such actions.

In the meanwhile, I strongly recommend you leave the food service industry. Just saying.

i'm having the wife pick up brisket for 5 and then i'm heading over for ribs for 5... super hot for a feast...

wow... are these guys publicly traded? there was nobody in the store... and my receipt has 2 discounts on it, a 20% off > $10 and a buy one get one free meal and drink...

They run the promotion for a reason. Holiday weekends during the summer are big days for family / friends outdoor BBQs and such. Hence the lack of traffic in dining establishments. First, I'm sure they are not as busy as a McDonalds or other fast food places, add in the holiday...yes, normally a pretty slow day. It's good for us that can make use of the 50% off deal, though.

and the verdict is:

1) for 1/2 price it was ok, for full price sonny's bbq is a better deal...
2) they sure use a lot of salt or msg... when i bit into the brisket the first impression is "wow, this is really brisketty brisket", and then the brain kicks in and says "the flavor is too bright, this thing must be pumped..."... same with some of the sides...
3) the cinnamon apples are still worth dropping by for a bowl of...
4) it all was better the first day... burrrp...

I had the turkey dinner.

Not too salty to me.
Sides were OK, Had the steamed vegetables, stuffing, new potatoes, and mac and cheese.
Davesimmons (above post) is right. the mac and cheese is pretty good.
Eating it again for tonight's dinner.
Not expecting it to be as good as yesterday.

But yeah, for 1/2 price it's not a bad deal.
