Is my computer bottlenecking ?
ok i bought a pc its specification are listed below
motherboard - GA-970A-DS3
ram(8GB) [1600mhz] - Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9
processor - fx 8350
harddrive - SAMSUNG 1TB 7200 RPM
gpu - SAPPHIRE HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5
case - cooler master elite 310
supply box - cooler master Thunder 500W
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my fps never goes higher than 60 fps in any game(battlefield3 , sleeping dogs , metro 2033 , dmc devil may cry etc etc{setting is on ultra})
except for modernwarfare 2
i am using a single monitor (20inch)
my highest monitor resolution is 1600x900 !
i screwed up cause i bought monitor first then pc
i did not thought of building a gamming pc at that time
so is it bottlenecking or not ??
is their a fix ?
~~~~~~~~
my ram is overclocked at 805 mhz

cpu is running at 4 ghz

hardrive running at AHCI mode

the box says 500 W is enough

and 60 fps is a good result but i think i am not getting performace i should get for my $ do u think psu is causing the problem or is it the monitor or my cpu or gpu is less ? or its not bottlenecking something else is causing this error ?

Im reading that the board has problems with the new FX CPU's. Did you have to flash your BIOS to get it to boot up?

nope I did not had a problem when I first boot up

Yes, ArmyVet88 is right.

Vertical Sync restricts your video card to produce frame rates no higher than the refresh of the monitor. This is to prevent artifacts and screen tearing which happen if your video card goes way faster than your monitor.

In other words, with V-Sync On, your video card will only go up to 60 fps in-game, since the refresh rate of your monitor is 60 Hz.

Turn it off, and you'll get more than 60 fps, but graphics irregularities might occur.
