Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone can weigh in on some advice here. I have a Asus UX31 ultrabook with an all metal shell. I noticed it wouldn't turn on yesterday and so I opened it and tried disconnecting the battery then turning it back on. It turned back on, but then when I put the bottom lid back on, it wouldn't power on at all again. I realized something is shorting to the chassis and tried cleaning the lid and pushing down any stray flex cables to no avail. I'm considering putting masking tape all on the bottom of the lid, but am not sure about heat and whether the tape will hold long term. Anyone have any ideas?
