Losing weight will give you more confidence than a piece of clothing ever will.
I just don't understand. Why not just get Levi's for $40? Denim is denim? You're paying all that money for a name, and nothing more.

do these jeans work well for someone who weighs about 300 lb? i am considering revamping my style and though it seems sickeningly expensive, i may splurge for such a garment if they would give me more confidence. (seriously any confidence > 0 would be an improvement)

And a lot of females look at a dude who wears Levi's like the dude who wears Star Wars, and other graphic tee's with non sense on them. Very few things say "I don't really give a fuck about my appearance" like wearing jeans you bought at a mega store.
Wrangler's are even worse than Levi's, as as a few other cheap shit brands.
One big difference is how the denim's treated, I will say Levi's probably do hold up a lot better than the brand I buy, but I'll take comfort over durability any day of the week. Jesus Christ, defend over paying for denim all you want, but try to keep the ridiculous hyperbole fairy tales to yourself.
"A lot of females look at a dude in Levis....doesn't give a shit about appearance". Stop with the bullshit. Someone has very little experience with "females", methinks.
That's like saying Steak is Steak so eatting Chuck = Rib Eye. Levi's are stiff and crappy feeling. The jeans I wear are so soft they feel more like cotton than denim. While I wouldn't wear $400 jeans, I do get ones that cost considerably more than Levi's, and imho they're worth every penny. Even the relaxed fit Levi's just don't feel comfortable. Are they worth the money? That's a matter of opinion, but the jeans I have on right now, there's not a pair of levi's that are even close to feeling the same when worn. I paid all this money for comfort, just like I paid a lot more for the tires on my car so I can have a smoother ride. Some people don't care about shit like comfortable jeans and a smooth ride though *shrug* A good indication you're wearing shit jeans is if you bought them at a store that also has a supermarket (Target, K-Mart, Walmart etc) The crazy thing about Levi is, you can find styles that run 70-80 bucks. I have 1 pair of 550 "relaxed fit" I got with a gift card, they were $72 and they're utter shit.

if you paid $450 for jeans instead of $800, then they are worth $450 and not $800.
holy shit I thought you meant 200 dollars for 4.
its totally gay to spend $200 in jeans.
