Just like all brands that become popular, they will take it to China and you will cry that you spent so much on those jeans. Just ask Polo and their Olympics dresswear

In other news, OP is stupid - likes to toss money into the trash. And yet we wonder why social security is going to crash and the average jackass from this generation has < $25k in their 401k. derp derp.

What does one's spending habits have anything to do with a government mandated retirement plan not properly adjusting for our adjusting times?

I would never spend $200 on jeans

but some people would never spend $150 on a pair of shoes. I do that with no problem.

To each his own. Who gives a shit what kind of jeans other people wear?

Unless they are hot chicks...then I care.

i have tried that but it never works

Are you under the impression that there's something unique about your physiology that prevents you form losing weight? Have you tried opening your door and going for a walk every night? Maybe turn that walk into a slow trudge? Maybe work yourself up to a light run?

The $200 that you're thinking about spending on a pair of jeans (that doesn't exist in your size) would be better spent on a few sessions with a personal trainer or a gym membership or a homeless guy who follows you around with his shopping cart and a stick and beats you when you stop moving.

i'm sure if we broke things down, there's a lot of gay things people spend money on.

i've never spent over $80 on a pair but for the fools that are going to tell me levi's fit/feel better are goobers.

You're on ATOT, where buying $100 jeans gets you laughed at and called gay, but buying a $1000 Titan video card? You're praised as a stud. And let you have quad SLI Titans? Sheieieieiet! You're a hero. I guess people who live in their mothers basement don't care much about outward appearance. I can dig that, but I find it hilarious dudes on here who spend umpteen dollars on their rigs have the audacity to call people gay and make fun of them because they want to dress nicely.

For the record, Levi's don't = nice, not even close.

Since I last posted in this thread, three years ago, the price of my jeans have gone up to ~$120. Damn inflation!

That's like saying Steak is Steak so eatting Chuck = Rib Eye. Levi's are stiff and crappy feeling. The jeans I wear are so soft they feel more like cotton than denim. While I wouldn't wear $400 jeans, I do get ones that cost considerably more than Levi's, and imho they're worth every penny. Even the relaxed fit Levi's just don't feel comfortable. Are they worth the money? That's a matter of opinion, but the jeans I have on right now, there's not a pair of levi's that are even close to feeling the same when worn. I paid all this money for comfort, just like I paid a lot more for the tires on my car so I can have a smoother ride. Some people don't care about shit like comfortable jeans and a smooth ride though *shrug* A good indication you're wearing shit jeans is if you bought them at a store that also has a supermarket (Target, K-Mart, Walmart etc) The crazy thing about Levi is, you can find styles that run 70-80 bucks. I have 1 pair of 550 "relaxed fit" I got with a gift card, they were $72 and they're utter shit.

One big difference is how the denim's treated, I will say Levi's probably do hold up a lot better than the brand I buy, but I'll take comfort over durability any day of the week. And a lot of females look at a dude who wears Levi's like the dude who wears Star Wars, and other graphic tee's with non sense on them. Very few things say "I don't really give a fuck about my appearance" like wearing jeans you bought at a mega store.

Wrangler's are even worse than Levi's, as as a few other cheap shit brands.

Heh, how about that. I just bought a pair of jeans that were on sale. I happened to be walking by & they were on display at the front of the store. $8.99 for a pair of jeans. I figured, what the heck - I'll try on my size. They were much softer & less stiff than Levis. Almost like they were cotton, rather than stiff denim. Worth every penny for paying less than a pair of Levis - significantly less. Felt very comfortable. I thought they were perfect for wearing around the house. Maybe not for going out at night - but for around the house, couldn't beat the price. But, I wore them to a relative's house - and it was really weird to hear, "where'd you get that brand of jeans? I've never heard of it before. They look pretty nice on you."

So, now I'm left wondering, what about your jeans made them worth more than Levis, while mine had the same characteristics that you described - and cost less than levis?

I wear almost exclusively Diesel. Goes for $200+ a pair usually but I'm also a cheap ass at times. I go in the store, find the color and cut I like, and search for them on Amazon. Bam only $80.

The Levi's Signature line sold at Walmart is their low-end series. El cheapo fabric and construction. You get better sewing, cut, and softer fabric with normal Levis.

Still waiting for jean prices to drop back to normal. The record cotton prices of 2010 that prompted their ~30% price hike is long gone.

then i guess you win because a pair of $9 jeans fit you well enough to satisfy you and others around you. i'll stick with my $80 jeans i KNOW how they fit and they look better than levi's/american eagle/faded glory.

I bought a pair of Levi's the other day at Macy's and was surprised at how soft they were. They were almost 7's soft. They only had one type that was that super soft though.

Picture proves a good point.

Did anyone notice or care what brand of jeans she was wearing?

It's about you not your clothing that makes you attractive.

Edit: also I thought that picture needed showing again.

True enough. But it should be said that modern jeans for women are basically denim tights and they do a lot of sculpting/shaping. Those shapely thighs and buttocks ain't natural, in most cases, I'd wager.

sniveling, whining, crying, etc.

You are a dope, and so is the OP. I assume both of you are 13 year old girls, the way you worry about the brand name that's on your pocket. And even if you are, it's still a sad commentary on the state of the world in 2013.
