Enjoy the toys while you are young and not limited by carseats and eventually college expenses.

Nice buy!

If you want an extended redline, Hondata sells a reflash that goes to 8500rpm and changes the vtec engagement to 5400rpm. Adds some power too.

Also, lots of people put a sub in the trunk to aid in acoustic quality.

Enjoy the car! LBP is a gorgeous color.

P.S. Visit S2ki.com for any questions or shoot me a PM.

Nice car, I like the color. I hate driving down that road on the license plate because it always tempts me to want to test drive cars.

I've always wanted one... ended up getting a miata. It's way too impractical for me and I'm not sure if I'll get the S2000

Better colour then mine!

Mines silverstone with red leather . I couldn't find any more exciting colours within my £11k budget with sub 40k miles on it. I got mine for £10'570 with 33k miles on it.

One thing that surprised me was the level of mechanical noise, especially with the top up. You hear the gears engaging, differential whirring in tight turns, etc. And even sixth gear is very short. 70 MPH is 3700 RPM. The upside is that you can pull in sixth from as low as 35 MPH, so there is very little shifting in traffic despite the close-ratio setup. It is noisy, hard, bumpy, stiff, and a lot of fun. The stereo is basically useless. Even at a stop, it has poor clarity and plays nothing below 100 Hz or so. At speed? Forget about it! Maybe I can put some Bass Shakers under the seats or something... But an alarm would have to be the first "upgrade."

Just drive it in 1st gear , it goes to 40mph.

I use to shift a lot sooner then 6krpm when I first got the car as I wasn't use to it. Now when I want to over take it's 2nd year fun!

The gearbox is so sweet and a pleasure to use. You definately a more stiff and bumpy ride but I personally love it. The mechanical noise and more so wind noise at speed is a bit crazy though!

So you're the one who took the LBP S2000 at Stevens Creek! I was looking at that car last weekend and was gonna make an offer this week (actually yesterday) only to find out it sold.

Congrats!

Yes, it has the glass rear window. I probably won't mod it at all, at least not until the powertrain warranty expires. For now it is all the speed I can safely handle anyway.

I really wanted one with one of the colored interiors. Red looks great, and even blue looks pretty cool. I'd even take the basic tan over all black, but interior color wasn't a deal-breaker for me. So call it even since you have the better interior color.

Its so funny.. I own a 2003 Accord too, with just under 111k miles. $22k is just a bit out of my budget right now. I was going to aim for about $20k OTD.

I remember seeing a Silverstone with the red interior with about 40k miles.. I could probably swing that for my price point. I might wait to see if another LBP pops up in the next 6 months.

Stevens Creek had a red 05 for $17K asking, but I didn't look at it or find out how many miles it had and when I swung by the dealer today to get a key coded I didn't see it.

Capital Honda has been trying to sell an 06 Silverstone with around 40K miles, certified. I think they were asking $20K. I used that car as a bargaining tool to talk down the price on mine.

00-01 can be found below $10k. I've seen some in the 8k range that needed less than $1000 of work to be great daily drivers.
