Not looking for a car, but got a fantastic deal and i have honestly always wanted one.

Its ugly, gets bad mpg, has rubber floors and waterproof seats, and i could not be more happy with it!

I love mine. Takes awhile to learn to deal with the reduced visibility. The rear proximety sensor comes in real handy at first. Around town mileage is not so great, I average about 15mpg, less in the winter with 4wd on, and just under 20mpg on the highway. The fjcruiserforums.com is a great place to see what alot of people are doing with theirs.

Nice! I like the weirdness of the FJ Cruiser. I would think the blind spots caused by the ginormous C pillar would bother me, but I guess you can get used to anything . . .

They are the right kind of funky. I first hated them, but they are growing on me.
Congrats!!!

NO off road body seam issues..

It was brand new! One of those "i really dont need this, but its a great deal and hard to pass up" kind of things.

Yeah, 2011 with the conv. package and the off road package. That crazy prefilter thing that comes with the off road package is massive under the hood!

MPG is not great for sure. But its an SUV with a big V-6. If you look at the comparables they all get pretty close to those numbers.

I like the FJ to look at, but I didn't like driving it. The same salesman that sold me my wife's Mazda 3s GT, took me out on a test drive with a manual one a few years back.

I drive too aggressively for it's limitations. It was a nice ride though if I had room for another vehicle and the time to maintain it.

You should talk to Guyver01 or something, he has a 2007 he bought new. Came up when he was telling me he paid cash for his NEW one, yet I am financing my USED 2006 M3...so he may be a bit off on everything needed. When I was looking at the FJ, it was a 1.99% loan they wanted to give me. I almost did the deal.

I love my 2007 FJ. I'm averaging 18.9 mpg over 59k. The C pillar isn't really the big blind spot. The passenger side A pillar is another story; it can hide all sorts of badness from the driver's view.

I've offroaded mine quite a bit and haven't experienced the body rips. If you're looking for stuff to spend money on, the factory rock rails are quite nice and can usually be picked up on craigslist for less than half of new price. Ditto for the bling plate though I'm not convinced the bling plate gets me anything but lower clearance.

Hope you enjoy yours!

Seems pretty darn good to me for an SUV. My wife's 2006 explorer with the 4 liter engine gets a combined 15.7 mpg.

They look like toys to me, not anything I can really take seriously for some reason. Looks cheap or awkward or something.

Was Toyota trying to see how many people would bust off the turn signals and tail lights? They made them stick out so far from the vehicle itself and I noticed they are doing that more and more lately. I'm not sure who decided it looked good to have lights that do not line up with the vehicle. Haven't really seen any busted off yet, but I suspect most people also don't take them very far from pavement.

Drive a cayenne turbo or mod a treg if you want a drivers suv. The insanity of the speed in the turbo Cayenne really amazes. Throw on an exhaust and they sound like sex with more throat.

I drove the comps, honestly on the road it has pretty good road manners for what it is. Its a body on frame truck and does well for being that.

Got my hitch all installed on the back a week or so ago, need to get some steps or rock rails or something along those lines, then try to figure out a GPS built in.

I have always like the uniqueness of the FJ, not for me, but I like them.

Have it looked at or teach her to drive. I get around 19/20 combined. 21/2 is a breeze on the highway.
