Jeez, lighten up people. I just wanted to get her something nice for the winter. She doesn't have a good coat (she has a crappy vest that she suffered with last year. Plus she absolutly HATES being cold). I know it's overpriced, but I wanted to get her something functional (it's very warm, I checked something similar instore) and nice since she'll be wearing it a lot. Yeah if it was something she'd wear every once in a while I would have gone cheaper. But New England winters can be brutal, so she'll probably be wearing it a lot thus I want her to look good for me and herself. Oh, getting poon is a given. I don't have to get her expensive gifts for that. I wanted to get it for christmas but it's too far away(winter's already here) and our birthday is next year.

How many women have you been around? I've been around enough to know that a dozen roses and a home-cooked meal is a fantastic random gift. A $200 coat sounds like a nice gift for a special occasion, but he's just trying a little too hard if he wants some bedroom time.

No it was not my birthday, it ws the day my fiance and I started dating.
