Tint is a must, glad you are getting that.

I keep reading about the mats on the forums and people really like them! Maybe I should invest in them when I come back.

What color did you pick for your car? You got a great price, mine was 24.5 OTD. They would not budge price on the manual...

Since I got the manual, I was only limited to the dark metallic gray or black.. I chose the gray as I will never eeeeeeeeeever own a black car.

Gray is still a great color. Never gets old.

Even though I would prefer white you guys can all wear the gray as a "badge of honor"

Heh. I would hate if I get snap oversteer during the winter storm.

Right now the car is very balanced. It doesnt feel like a FWD vehicle.

Well you did probably go up several hundred percent in the rear with the bar so a front sway upgrade is worthwhile. Was it a total PITA to do though? I thought about doing it on my TL, but everyone says you have to disassemble so much of the front end, its not really worth it.

The rear bar took a little longer than I wanted as I needed to unbolt the exhaust to give me a couple of centimeters of clearance. Took me about 2 hours to install.

The front bar, well.... That was another story. I was able to remove the bar, but I had to let the shop finish the job as the only way to get the new bar was to lower the subframe. Fortunately, the subframe bolted right up and the alignment was not needed. Payed 150 dollars. WORTH IT.

Nice car. We got a 2013 Accord LX in December. My wife and I negotiated with Ken Garff, Larry Miller, and Stockton Honda but got the best deal from Willey Honda in Bountiful.

Maybe it's just me but it could use about a 1.5" drop all around. It would look a lot more sporty. Japanese sedans all seem to have huge fender gaps.

A couple months ago you posted about LED license plate bulbs. I got some cheap ones of Amazon that were total crap. They were almost too dim, and one burned out(!!) within about 6 weeks. What kind did you buy?

Ah very nice! I chatted with them, but they did not have what I wanted. Also, Ken Garff got us the most money on the trade in.

I am definitely thinking about it. Tein or Koni have not released their offerings yet. It will be another year or so before I get a possibility of a drop.

Also, the ground was uneven therefore creating an illusion for large fender gaps.

As far as LED's, I bought these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are a tad on a bluish side. Can see the license plates really well at night.

Be sure and plan ahead for the drop. 1.5" drop is totally batcrap crazy around here (DFW). The roads suck, and driving a lowered car is garbage. I've done it twice, but would never do it again.

Imho, 'looks' are absolutely trumped by practicality and comfort. But who knows, maybe the roads out there are better than they are here. The super lowered hellaflush idiots out here are good for a laugh, at least until you're following one and they have to slow down to 2mph to go over a railroad crossing. You can always tell the guys who regret it, bumpers cracked and peeling.

The Accord is now a really large family cruiser, they're now only a few inches shorter than a 90s 7-series. They drive a lot better than the Camry imho. Nice car, my advice : keep it as stock as possible outside of practical upgrades that won't have negative impacts on usability or reliability.

Thanks for the helpful reply! I will be definitely be thinking about what road surfaces I am going to be riding on. Fortunately, Utah has excellent roads. Also, there are very FEW ricers here which is good!

I have never purchased coilovers before, I hope someone can chime on following question... How long do they usually last and can they approach OEM or softer comfort levels?

Coilovers are not designed for comfort. If that's your concern just leave the suspension stock.

I am aware of that. I was just wondering if a combination of spring and damping settings would get me close to stock level of comfort.

Thanks for the compliment! I am part of DriveAccord forums(same user name). A lot of good information from certain people who are not afraid to try things(headlight swaps, harnesses, etc). Bunch of snobs there, that's for sure!

My girlfriend has the 2013 LX and loves it...FYI the oil changes on those cars are super simple.

I wanted to hate the CVT too but couldn't...it's just an ingenious design and now I own a car with one as well

Thanks. As a college student, yes this is a dream car. Before I bought it, I read everything about it since it was announced.

Got 3/3/3 deal for for $99(oil/tire rotation/wash) when we negotiated. When that deal runs out, I will be planning to install a Fumoto valve. What mileage is your girlfriend getting?

I think she averages 36 mostly from what I remember. We just made a trip to Florida a couple of weeks ago and on the way back I was averaging 39.7mpg until traffic flow started to pick up to 75/80.
