Listen, this is what you do. (FIRST OFF THOUGH, please refrain from buying computer hardware from Wal-Mart, you wouldn't go to CompUSA to buy groceries would you?) OK, so what you do is take it back into the store & just tell them it doesn't work. If they ask any questions just tell them I don't know, it just wouldn't work. "I plugged it in & I couldn't transfer my files." They won't check to see if the drive is there anymore than you did so no worries. Next time go to a computer store when buying equipment please...lol
WTF?!?!? I bought a couple of those Seagate External hard drives from Walmart and never EVER had a problem with them. I also bought an US Robotics internal modem from Walmart and again no problems. I also know that if I had any problems, the the local Walmart here is very good at taking back stuff with little hassle - if any.
Hey, if Walmart sells brand name products at a very competitive price AND their return policy is no hassle, I have no reservations whatsoever to buy it from Walmart.
BTW, CompUSA doesn't sell groceries but I wouldn't buy any from them if they did - I'd buy them at my local Walmart.
