It doesn't really mean much since bowl games are verse equal opponents, so winnign 4 crappy bowls doesn't make you better than going 2-2 in quality bowls. That siad, everyone knows the SEC is the best conference in collefe football, so there really is no need to even try to make arguments counter to that fact (which often happens when SEC teams end up getting into lots of good bowl games and inevitably losing some).

I always wondered where loyalty to a particular conference came from. I went to Texas, and I hate all the other Big 12 schools and want them to lose. About the only reason I would want them to win is so they will be ranked higher when we play and beat them, thereby making us look better.

The only time it matters is when people are trying to figure out strength of schedule. The Big East gained a LOT of respect when WVU beat Georgia handily last year. It enabled them to be ranked high at the beginning of this season.

Wow, go Big 10. We should be able to count MTSU as another Big 10 loss since the only reason they were in the Motor City Bowl was because the Big 10 couldn't fill their bowl spot.

Well it's also disgusting when your own conference loses a bunch of games in a disgusting manner just like how fUCLA blew the Emerald Bowl in the 4th quarter. Even if your own team shines and kicks ASS (Go Bears), it's still disappiointing to see how your conference continues to lose so much and loses respect.
