My company is slowly replacing all our CRT's with new Dell LCD's. Yesterday morning I walk by the for sale hallway, and sitting there is a used Viewsonic G90FB 19" flat screen CRT monitor. Best part of it? it was TEN FREAKIN' BUCKS!!!! Took it home, hooked it up, installed drivers, works perfectly!

This morning, I see they have another one ready to into the for sale hall. I'm grabbing that one too! Great part is, if anything doesn't work, they'll take it back and give you your money back.

Holey crap I sent in my Vonage rebate for Linksys router/VoIP 12/28/04 and just got the check in the mail today! Six months for a dang rebate check is pushing it!

I bought a Canon Powershot camera and a Canon Pixma iP3000 printer bundle with $70 MIR...... I talked to 3 different canon rebate representatives and asked if the rebate was valid with a "bundle" offer. Each of them said YES definitely.... I checked up my rebate status online todayand it says INVALID..... Damn CANON.............

Update: Recieved a $20 rebate instead of $70... The representative asked me to fax the rebate form again....aaarrggghhhh

I'll raise you - the desk I'm sitting at I got as a freebie at my office. The CEO and one of the customer relations managers were replacing their oldish but beautiful and rather large wooden desks with more modern desks. I overheard a phone conversation as someone was arranging to pay money to have them removed from the office. I promptly volunteered to remove one free! I took the smaller (not the CEO's), since even it was rather large. What a honey of a desk!

Yeah, I gotta think so. I have to moan sometimes, but most of the time not. Better tighten things up there. Really check things out before you buy. It's worth it so you don't have to think or wonder after the fact if you made a mistake.

Moan: A year or two before Lucas released the Starwars Trilogy I bought 3-4-5 from China, boots of the laserdisks and not anamorphic for $10 each. Now they're just sitting on the shelf and I guess I'll have to just put them on the sidewalk. Can't imagine trying to sell them.

Brag - I won a $100 bestbuy gift card at a local homebuilder drawing 2 months ago. Found out about 1/2 price on all tivo hardware at BB - coupon in book at the stores. Got Toshiba tivo and DVD-R recorder RS-TX20 reg. $600 on sale for $540 - $270 (coupon) - $100 gift card = $170 plus Tx tax. AND got a $200 BB rebate printed out. This is my second Toshiba tivo unit both with free tivo basic. The 1st unit only has DVD player and was about $40 after 2 $100 rebates, also from BB. This is also posted under hot deals.

I just got a 512mb muvo tx from dell for $14. I called about one coupon for a big order i was making. It turns out that the 7000 uses had been used in like 2 days so i was bummed. I went ahead and place the order without the 30 off. I added a $60 off coupon i found for the muvo, which replaced the other $55 off. However, when I called, the guy added the $60 off, and it didn't remove the $55 off. I got $115 off a $129 mp3 player!

Moan: after 5 months my 40 GB Zen Touch stopped working and locks up at the startup screen. Getting an RMA and its going to cost 40$. They're paying for the parts, but still, 40$ just for labor. Rediculous, especially considering its only been in use 5 months. I didn't do anything to it either.
