did anyone sign up for the CitiFi bank account to get the free palm iiie? I think I would like to sign up and use that as my official bank account... do you guys know of any drawbacks to using a 'totally online' bank? Anybody had any bad experiences with them yet? They seem to have a really great service.. but sometimes it sounds 'too' good to be true!

Kimby, i'm not too sure about the citi/fi deal. I tried for the free $100 deal, but they kinda screwed me over, saying it expired(but when i called the csr assured me that the coupon code was good for a long while). Note, this is only my own experience, so maybe it's different for others. As for the palmpilot, they have a page, http://palmpilot.3com.com/ where u can find out stuff about it. My brother has a palm and he likes it. Ok, i hope that helps a little.

Got the Corel Linux OS about 2-3 weeks ago. Mine was backordered also.

This is a real MOAN. Several months ago I ordered a Western Digital HD from Value America. Needless to say, they didn't have the drive and never shipped it. For a long time after the order was cancelled they continued to show the order as "In progress". I eventually disputed the order with VISA, after which VA credited me with $87.98 (out of $119.48)saying they had a %15 service charge even if they never shipped anything at all. With VISA's help, after a long delay, VA did credit the other $31.50 last month. Matter settled after only five months I thought. I just received my VISA bill for the current month, and there on May 19 Value America has processed the charge for $119.48 all over again. I met with the VISA rep at my bank this afternoon, and apparently we are back to ground zero. Charge in dispute again etc. Value America is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had, e-merchant or B&M.

Big Al, If it says sent to warehouse all you can do is wait. I have a mouse on order for over a month. When we bombard them with orders they run out and have to reorder. Be patient and it will come eventually.

I'm glad I read of your experience with Value America, I almost bought some memory the other day from them , but didn't because the rebate looked scary.Also I read an article about the company and how the
top managers almost bankrupted the company through expensive advertising and promotions that cost millions and produced little.

sorry i forgot Cyberebate is for real but they take 4 months to send your money. VA has the worst cs people ever,no one seems to have a clue,I've had to explain specs to them(linked) to get the proper item. I am in a CC dispute with them now also, over an order placed in Dec. which I finally canceled 2 months ago. I'm not too concerned, Visa takes care of bs situations like this no hassles.

Value America may be a pain in the butt, however here is the last great deal I recieved from them. I ordered a Voodoo 3 2000 from them for 54.00 using some left over value dollars, good deal right? It took them almost 2 months to send the card but when they did instead of one video card they sent me two cases. I figure it was worth the wait and is the best hot deal I recieved to date.

I RMAed my elsa tnt2 and was told I'd be getting a geforce erazor X2
DDR card, got an Erazor X SDR sent to me instead. Guess I should be grateful for any upgrade , but I'm disappointed because I was expecting the DDR with TV out....Moan, moan,, moan.,.

Staples has the worst ordering system so far I ordered from any website for more than 2 years. I ordered twice, they fu#ked up twice, charge wrong amount, didn't apply any coupon which is working, has a group of dump a$$ CSR. CSR has no internet email nor instant Fax access. The Charge show "POSTED" on my online credit card statement, but they said it didn't get charged YET??? SO to avoid any more fu*K up order, should avoid them since you are on the edge of calling more. Although the coupons may says valid for anyone to use, it may not in their stupid system. Then you have to call their dump A$$ CSR to correct the error and it will you even more angry.

BY the way, I still haven't gotten the HP windbreaker, free T-shirt from 3com, free magazine from passport.com....... any more???
