Ordered a Lexar 64MB Jump Drive on 05-03-03 for $59-$20 instant rebate and included $20 OM rebate and $20 manufacturer's rebate. This was along with a CDRW drive which brought the total high enough to use a $25 off coupon.

The CDRW arrived, but the Jump Drive was back ordered. I just checked the order today and it was canceled. I called and asked why? They said the manufacturer wasn't shipping anymore. Anyone else have this happen?

I ordered one at the local B&M for the full $59.00 price. When I go to pick it up Thursday, I'm expecting them to make good on the first price, which included the $20.00 instant rebate. Think that'll happen?

When I got home, I checked my CC account and found they had charged me too much. I called them again and it turns out they prorated the $25.00 off coupon. She checked with a manager, who was surprised that happened. She said she is going to contact the warehouse about it and will be in touch. They're into me for about $10.00 and I've already removed and sent in the UPC for the CDRW, or I'd be inclined to send it back. I've also gone through the trouble of addressing envelopes, including stamps, as well as filling out forms and photocopies for the Jump Drive rebates. Do I have reason to moan, or what?

Update 05-23-03: They gave me the $20.00 instant rebate credit to my CC, but said they couldn't do anything about the prorated $25.00 coupon. I gave this the reluctant OK, because I'm tired of dealing with it. I'm out ten bucks... :disgust:

Big MOAN here:

Got in on the Toshiba e335 PDA deal from Office Depot for about $85 after 2 $100 rebates. Then I got a credit for a $50 price drop. The PDA was great and I even bought 2 128 MB SD Cards for it.

Yesterday the PDA was stolen from my office and I was very PO'd. Filed a police report. If I get all the rebates then I'm only out $35, so it's not a big loss.

Last week I ordered one of the new Seagate Serial ATA drives from googlegear. Yesterday, I saw on their site that they had a promotion where if you ordered the drive you got a free SATA cable. Since the drive I got was OEM (which by the way was NOT communicated to me on the site) and I needed a cable, I e-mailed googlegear asking them if they would be willing to still give me the cable, especially since I was planning on ordering a CPU and RAM from them today. I never heard back. I just called them, and the woman I spoke to said they wouldn't give me a cable. You'd think that since I just spent over $500 last week and am about to spend $500 more they could throw me a bone and give me a $2 cable. Guess I'll be going back to newegg even though they're a few dollars more.

I ordered an MX700 for $37 at amazon on April 30th (not bad for not using rebates) and I have yet to receive it. Super saver shipping is bad.

Okay heres my deal, My mother and I are with Cingular on the Family Plan. I can leave when i want, she has to stay 8 more months or pay a $150 fee to cut off her old contract. Right now its $29.99 for her and $17.99 for me 500 min anytime local, free night and weekends. Now I had a Nokia 5165 that broke May 6th, I hated it with a passion and was glad it stopped working, this is the 3rd one. Now what perfect timing because i wanted to buy a PDA, so I started looking at PDA Cell phones. I found a Palm Treo 180 which i can get for roughyl $100 - 150. Only problem is Cingular doe not support it from what i can see. I am in st louis, 63033, and cant find ANY PDA phones Cingular does support. So now I have to look for another provider. I found a T-mobile deal where i get $150 amil in rebate if i buy a Treo 180 and get service with T-mobile. Well only problem is T-mobile has only like 2 family plan options, and both are too expensive. The cheapest is $70 a month fo 800 min.
Basically I want some advice on how i can get a PDA phone, preferably the treo 180, without having to spend tons more $$$ on contracts. Any advice?

Jumped on the belkin refurb +50% deal and my wireless pci network card does not work. I stick it in the computer and the power light on the back does not turn on at all....tried diff pci slots and yes it was pushed in all the way and still no light and no detection in windows. DOA

For the price I got it for, it's not worth sending it back and waiting for them to send me another one.

Do any of you know of a place that sells belkin wireless network cards? Thanks!

Moan here about DELL Small Business division. I have had my eye on a Samsung 191T 19" LCD for the last few weeks and it normally sell for $732 on their website- But every time I get a good coupon they raise the price to $842. They have done this switch at least 3 times since I have been watching it.

Sooo funny. I'll try to keep it short. I ordered a Canon i320 $49.99 from OD. I wanted to use the $15 off $50 coupon so I added a $0.20 box of paper clips to put me over. I went to my local office depot to pick up my order a couple of hours later. When they brought my printer to me there were no paper clips. I asked the cashier where they were & she said that they were OOS & they would be UPSed to me..... a 20 cent box of paper clips... hehehe. I wonder if I call them if they will stop.

Found a Olympus D-550Z from Office Depot (Napperville, IL) on clearance. :camera: Camera did not have the 16mB Smartmedia.

Paid $111.04 - $20 off $ 100 coupon + 8.5% tax = $ 98.78. Usually sells for $278, but has been replaced by a D-560.

what version PCI do you have? the light won't come on if your PCU is version 2.1 or less. Most (all?) new boards are version 2.2...

I should have bought that sony 21-inch monitor when it was $180 at their parking lot sale....

It had a 7 day warranty though, and I wasn't sure at the time it would fit in my desk. My friend said 21-inch monitors are 40% bigger than 17-inch monitors (in taking up desk-space) is that right? It looked like more like 10-20% to me when I finnaly saw the monitor at Fry's.

Cellularshowroom.com screwed me

Although this is my first post....i have been coming here for hot deals for years.

Recently I ran across this thread for the Fossil Pocket PC PDA watch. Since I own Palm and do know that Fossil did make a Palm version i decided to see if they carried it. Instead of searching the site I just change the URL ID on the link listed and found this link. I ordered the watch thru this link. The invoice they sent said "Fossil PDA watch for the PALM OS".

Yesterday the package came and I opened it. It wasn't till i was looking thru the manual that i realized the watch I had recieved was for the Pocket PC. I contacted Cellularshowroom today and they said I'm out of luck. I opened the product..end of story. I can not return the item eventhought this is not the item i ordered! They also claimed that the Producted I ordered was not on the site the day i ordered it and that it was just added this past weekend. I have no idea if the link was on their site as i went directly to the URL but it did let me go thru the ordering process and emailed me an invoice.

So im pretty much screwed. Of course I will be filling a complaint with the BBB and since I never did recieved the product I ordered I will try to disbute the charge with my CC company.

My $90+ pricematch credit from Staples came in for My Cendyne 4x DVD+RW making the final price $48.xx. What a steal. And I thought I wasn't gonna touch dvd burners for another year. They will be this price off the shelf in 2005.

Hi, do you think this is worth fighting for?

Circuit City is selling a receiver for $499. Fry's has the same receiver for $299 (Limit 1 per customer) <~~ But Fry's still has plenty in stock. Circuit City tells me they don't normally price match limit 1 deals, but will make an exception for me, minus the extra 10% over the difference as written on their price match guarantee.

I thought their excuse was part of their policy at the time, but upon closer inspection it doesn't say anything about limit 1 deals.

In-Store Price Match Plus Guarantee (for purchases made in one of our stores)

Nothing's worse than paying too much. That's why we do everything in our power to make sure you don't pay a penny more than you should for anything you buy at Circuit City. If you've seen a lower advertised price from another local store with the same item in stock, we want to know about it. Bring it to our attention, and we'll gladly beat their price by 10% of the difference. Even after your Circuit City purchase, if you see a lower advertised price (including our own sale prices) within 30 days, we'll refund 110% of the difference. We're with you!

Our policy applies only to advertised prices. It does not apply to special offers or promotions, including rebates, free-with-purchase offers, and special financing.

Should I go back and say "You guys did not happily beat a competitors price by 110%, instead you gave me a hard time, and dismissed the other 10% because of phony reason, I want to speak to your manager please."

It's not so much the money I'm angry about, it's the fact that they didn't not adhere to their on in-store policy of price matching 110% percent of the price difference and intead lied to me, and cheated their way out of pay that extra 10%.

What do you guys think? I should be thankful? Or did I get cheated? I was even nice enough to buy their 3yr performance plan for $34.

I won a ti4400 at ebay for $51+ $10 (shipping)=$61. There was no reserve. 5 min after the auction was over, got a invoice, paid for it right away. Supposely, the information on the ti4400 was that it work on the window me, but when the seller try to put it on window xp, it doesn't work. I was hoping it was driver problem. If this turn out to be a ti4400 in good conidition, man I'm happy. I take my chances. Now! I need to get rid of my mx400, ti200 (2 week old, got it from newegg), and ti500 (currently using this, got it from ebay 4 days ago).

Got a 9700 PRO last Sept. for $212.00 with tax at The Game Stop. The card had just come out, and was mistakenly placed in the 50% off bin. It would not ring up correctly so the manager had to force the sale. The manager said "Are you sure you want that card, its old and the new models are already out". Needless to say I check that bin twice a week.

I know its old, but its the only time I have ever been lucky.

Im gonna overclock this bitch on my new Epox 8rda+ and mushkin PC3200 DDR and see if i can get XP3200 speeds (= to P4 3.06 GHz) with 200 (400) Mhz FSB! Hmm, this for $41, or a P4 3.06 ghz for around $410. I think I'll take the AMD for 1/10 the price. hehe
