Lessee... got my $20 LinkSys DSL Router check a few weeks ago. Bought me a 21" IBM Trinitron monitor. Then got a Radeon LE to go along with it. Life is good.

I got my iomega zip drive (12x10x32) $30 rebate in 3 weeks. This was the really awesome deal from CompUSA I think a while back, but all of the drives got back ordered. Nonetheless, 3 weeks is sweet.

Oh yeah, I forgot to brag about my $250 rebate from CyberRebate for the $20 software I bought from them a while back. This was a problem like the $51.99 for 11.99 that everyone tried to get in on a while back, but this one went through. A nice $230 profit from that!

Just gotta moan about those X10.com cameras! What junk! I bit on one of their specials for the wireless XCAM2. Thought I'd use it for home security. Aim the camera at my computer, have a screen saver that ran a motion detection program, and upload stills to online storage. Unfortunately, the image quality was so poor! Could just barely tell a person walked into the room, let alone get enough detail to identify a suspect for the police. At least, X10 gave me a no-hassle RMA and back it went.

Ive been waiting for compusa/maxtor 50 dollar rebate for about 2-3 months,

What can I do about it?

almost all orig rebate forms have 800 numbers to call after 8 weeks +or- and my experience is that some won't send until you call. Everyday. Make them give a time frame. Then you'll usually get your check. Longest for me? 6 months ($30). But it came after about 10 calls.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's a "bump"? How and why does a thread get "locked"? Thanks

when you reply to a thread, it gets bumped to the top of the list on the front page. thus, when people come to this forum, they will see it right away. messages w/ bump, ^, nt, etc.

threads can be locked by moderators (mods) when they contain questionable material or just straight up violate the forum rules. (eg. contain coupon codes, referral links, scams, anything instead of a hot deal, etc.)

brag - got my 100 cdr spool from mei-microcenter today!

it was from that old deal where you buy anything from their catalog and get 100 cdr's for 1 cent. so, it was the spool and a plastic cd case shipped for a grand total of under $7. they are the kingston hypermedia too!

when i placed the order over the phone, i was told that the spools were going to be out of stock for 2 weeks. after that, they would charge my CC once my items were shipped. didn't seem like that long of a wait for me!

Wanted to brag about the Iomega rebate I recieved. It took only 3 weeks!! I am still waiting for the 'after thankgiving' Circuit City rebates. I called them last week, and they say I need to wait 3 more weeks. What a joke. Microsoft was also really quick with my rebate for Microsoft Money - 5 weeks.

I got my $30 credit back on my credit card for the Iomega Zip Drive just like the Compusa csr said I would. Now all I have to do is send in my rebate form and I got another $30 coming. Woohoo!
