Anyone have the pdf for the intel wireless keyboard + mouse + base station deal? Intel seems to have unceremoniously pulled it from their site and now all they have is a $20 rebate on the base station. Boo. I love Bestbuy......sometimes the morons that work there (not all of them are morons.. ) do you a favor. I bought an Xbox about 2 weeks ago fro $299. Recently I received a card in the mail from Ciruit City where you get 10% of your purchase price(if over $200) back in the form of a GC. I went into Bestbuy and asked if they would pricematch, and the girl working there not only gave me the 10% back, she also gave me another 10% off. She ended up giving me back over $60.......an Xbox for $240 seems like a pretty sweet deal....

Received the free Win XP Pro also,was anyone brave enough to install it yet?Ran the compatibility gizmo and said Sandra wasn't supported and sound card,no big deals.Just wondering if it requires activating because if so then i need to decide which box to install it in.

Needed a gift for my bro, and while shopping I went to Sam's Club today and there was a marked down HP Jornada 547 display box there for $236. I took it to the service desk and they brought out a brand new Jornada with all the software and a bundled USB cradle in a brown HP "bundle" box. The display was the box, not the Jornada. No rebates, no extra tax, no extra money out of pocket and no cut up box for a gift.
AT Hot Deals has turned me into a bargain hunter!

What's up with people saying xxx for xxx SHIPPED!! Then it turns out it's really after a rebate or something. I always thought SHIPPED means your out of pocket costs as soon as the item ships. If it's after a rebate, say after MIR or something, but not SHIPPED.

A ton of the deals around here involve the use of the Amex Blue card. I'm not good enough, according to Amex, to get a blue card. I would like it if Deal posters placed as much information about the deal in the subject title. it will save time and Anandtech costs(bandwidth).

Took a pack of 50 CDRs back to Staples 'cause I decided I didn't want to mess with the rebate. They had gone up in price $3 and the computer would only ring it up at that price, so they gave me 3 bucks *yay!* Then I gathered up just over $30 worth of stuff so I could use a $10 off $30 coupon that I found a link to here on Hot Deals. Only when the guy typed in the code off it, it came up as $30 off $30! Can't argue with the computer, so I only had to pay $1.97 in tax minus the $3 from the CDRs and Staples ended up paying me $1.03 to buy their stuff!

Bah! I got my Seagate 80 GB drive today, and it had the -worst- packaging! Only -1- plastic air cushion, which was even deflated, no styrofoam peanuts, just a plastic case...what the hell...no ATA100 cable, nothing...just a damned bare drive. The box was dented, too. This thing better work.

1. Got my $200 check last week for the Staples XP deal. Bought the Fuji digital camera deal, e*gay everything, so made like $140 net. Tried the camera out, no optical zoom, didn't like it.

2. Turkey day's come and gone... so those that didn't get in the Best Buy GF3 Ti200 for $99 after MIR or the 60 GB WD 5400 drive for $50 after MIR my apologies... Got two of each (had to drive 200 miles round trip Tues before Turkey day, so had to make it worth while...), sold them on the Forsale Forum for about $10 loss from the price (before rebate) I bought it for... now waiting for the rebates.

Best Buy sure is sneaky

I was looking at their printers today. The salesman was good. It was the Epson C80, and it had all these rebates and such. He goes on to point out that the printer only comes to $79 after. It has a $50 giftcard as a rebate. I got to thinking when I got home, "that $50 aint free, you pay for the damn gift card, and they still get your money" And you gotta buy a cable. Bunch of snake oil salesmen.

Moral of the story. Don't fall for this "your getting $50 off with a gift card" crap

If you get a rebate, and it doesn't come in the form of CASH, then it aint no rebate
