I been through a lot with them in order to get my rebate.

Their rebates are almost scams, you cannot call them cause they won't answer the phone. The only way to communicate is email and they will give you lame excuses to avoid helping you. There are a bunch of morons and scam artists at work here.

Here is the text from my email converstaion with them, you can draw your own conclusions. BTW I got my rebate in a week after I threatened their ass. (I have removed my work email add and other personal info for privacy reasons)

Read the entire thread from bottom to get an idea as to how it progressed, The paragraph listed below was the last email I sent after which I got my rebate in a week.

It was my mistake that I bought products from a company that is still using technology from the Neanderthal age and is irresponsive, inconsiderate, and plain lousy when it comes to responding to customers in a friendly or positive manner and solving their problems.

If you cannot solve a problem at least be creative in suggesting other ways to deal with the issue instead of answering with a NO, I cannot do this and I cannot do that.

I will wait for 1 more week before I begin a PR campaign to inform all users on the Internet about my experience, and will advise them to avoid products from your company like the Plague.

Ok..a small brag
I was at BB this weekend and they had PDA on sale for 75% on returns...I got an IPAQ 3955 for $125 it is in perfect condition only thing missing was the extra stylus....

REG. price $499....I got for $125

I wanted the toshiba e740 but they ranout it was $599 req price....for $150


I only wish I had bought a few to sell

Columbia FRS radios from August at CompUSA...ARGHHHHH!!!!!!

Same runaround on the phone. Same auto-incrementing mailing date on their website (wheresmyrebate.com).

BBB complaint against them and CompUSA. Multiple emails. All this for $14.99?? That's what they want me to start thinking....

Ok folks time to cheer me up..........

Of course, now there is a problem with my billing address not matching my shipping address (although my bank says they are the same, NewEgg claims they are not. So I sit here, not knowing when I might receive my order (As there is nothing wrong with said addresses according to my bank, to which the helpful NewEgg CSR replied "I'll re-submit them" when a simple phone inquiry would have verified that everything is on the up and up........)

I am an avid gamer and also very well versed with Photoshop (IMHO one of greatest pieces of software ever coded). Do I have the right system? Should I cancel my order? Will they ever call my bank? <<<mumbles>>> I just want my new system, I'm tired of cranking everything down on my P3 733................Is it too much to ask when you drop $1300 on merchandise that the company pick up the phone? I ordered from NewEgg because from everything I have read their service is top-notch......this morning I was on hold for 23 minutes (I watched the clock, 23 minutes is an eternity on hold) while one of their reps checked on my order. (She never got back on, I finally hung up) And now my order is in limbo, waiting for someone at NewEgg to call my bank and verify my addresses..........

If it were up to me, I would cancel my order, but my card has already been charged ( that's nice, I have $1300 charge against my card and nothing has shipped, so I am stuck with NewEgg till they release the charge) If they verify they are shipping by noon tomorrow, I would consider purchasing from them again and I will relate here how they took care of me, if not, never again........and everytime I see a post about NewEgg's great service, I'll chime in with my story.........maybe some people will think I am being unfair, but when you pay for rush processing, you pay for rush shipping, it usually means you want your merchandise NOW!

Moan: the receiver that was supposed to ship yesterday will ship "in the next 4 or 5 business days"... from a company that had 2 types of reviews: half of the reviews were 5 star, "they shipped right away, all was great" and the other half of the reviews were: "they keep telling me it'll ship in 4 or 5 days, I've been waiting for 2 weeks and nothing."

I just ought a stick of 512mb of DDR memory from Boostermemory.com. It was supposed to be a stick of PC3500 memory, but Sandra showed only PC2700. So I finally ripped that useless heat spreader (used to hide the real memory) and discovered it was only PC2700 memory. The chips are LD cheap OEM stuff and not the Samsung ones I paid extra for. Not only that, taking off the heat spreader ripped the warranty label (the thermal tape). I'm sick of these lame, cheater stores...

I placed an order with Newegg at 10PM Monday Newegg time. I paid the extra $2.99 for "rush" delivery and it is now Thursday 5:26PM and the web site says I am at step 2 of 5. They charged my credit card three days ago for all of it.
I sent a email and all I got back is a nasty-gram from a person named Roxanne. First they tell me emails are answered in the order they receive them, no matter how long it takes. Second. If I want to know where my parts are, check the web site. If I don't like it, check their rules.
It is not worth the extra few bucks you save, for all the misery.

PS: Every part I ordered said "YES" as far as in stock goes. It must be because I had such a small order...$707.92. To make things more confusing, I received one of the ten parts today, but the web site says I am still at 2 of 5 (not ready to even ship yet).
I feel if you don't have the parts, just tell me so I can make plans around it. Don't just leave me hanging not knowing what is going to happen.

This is a rant about Dell's website. You would think the world's 2nd largest computer mfg. and one of the largest e-commerce websites on the Internet would have decent uptime. I've been getting HTTP 500 and other error pages way too frequently on their website whenever I'm checking on the status of my Axim order. This is very unsatisfactory for such a high profile website.

staples sucks. i ordered a monitor last week, and staples said it would be delivered to me on the 19th, weds. it didn't come the 19th. nor the 20th. so i called, and asked the staples csr. she said it wasn't scheduled for delivery on the 19th, or 20th (even though on my order form it did). she said it'd come the next day, the 21st. it still didn't come. i called again. the guy said it'd come on monday, the 24th. today, i got a message saying that it'd come tomorrow. i called and asked why. they said ups was having problems, what with snowstorms and stuff they were behind. however, i live in california. we don't have any snowstorms here, not last i heard of. meanwhile, i had ordered two chairs from office depot, which also ships by ups. however, you may say that office depot shipped from a warehouse closeby, and staples didn't. well, on the ups tracking detail it says on the 18th the order was already received in richmond (which is nearby, if you don't know the bay area)
luckily my old monitor hasn't died on me yet, though it flickers and changes the colors and size randomly sometimes. don't order from staples if you're in a hurry

Just picked up a Free After Rebate HP DVD300i DVD burner last weekend. OMAX was substituting them for the 200i in the ad for $200 out the door and i cashed in my HP training points for $200 in rebates. bwahaha.

Purchased a Logitech Z680 speakers system from DELL's online site on 02/25/03. Dell's e-mailed confirmation said it would ship on or before 02/28/03. Came into work this morning to check on status and got an e-mail notification of delay on my order.

I jumped on this deal because Dell was having a 15% off on all peripherals and free shipping w/no sales tax total = $246.46. DID EVERYONE JUMP ON THIS DEAL? IS THAT THE REASON WHY MY ORDER IS DELAY? Arghh!!!

Dell blows. THey will just delay your shipment until the speakers depreciate to the price you paid.
That's what happened to the Radeon 8500 last year.
