My PIII 500 with 256MB takes 15-20 seconds the first time and only 5 the second time. I can't believe the times you are getting, I have checked several computers from 500-1Ghz and the initial start is much slower. R >>


It takes about 7 seconds the first time. The only plugins I have loading are Eye Candy 4000; and Extensis Intellihance Pro, Photo Tools, and PhotoGraphics. I also have over 550 fonts loading. All this on a Duron 600 MHz o/c to 850 MHz and 128 MB PC100 RAM. You must have a lot of plugins and fonts loading because your times seem rather slow having 256 MB RAM.
