Faster doing what? I've got a 2.6Ghz P4 running FreeBSD 4.9 that will blow your systems doors off anything network related. I hope you didn't just buy it, because in about a month you'll be able to get something faster for 30% less.

Actually. So far I only have spent $1600 on the whole system. =) I could tell you how I got it, but then I'd have to kill you. I have had a 4400+ @ 2.6Ghz for almost a year as well. This was my upgrade to the system. I got most of the parts of the new system for free as it came from an office that was on fire. LOL Only smoke damage that I cleaned, but I keep trading parts out and getting more stuff for free, so the only thing that I still use that was in the fire is the RAM. LOL

So... Beat THAT!

I get 6664 3Dmarks in 3DMark 2006. Not sure if that is good or not, haven't compared.

Know what, though -- I think having multiple processors is a good idea since the upgrade cycle is longer. So, for example, 4 Opterons @ 2.75 and somehow do Crossfire x1900 would be bliss.

LOL Not really. It was going to be used to host a CS:S server, webpage, and e-mail. Somehow that just wasn't suiting. I am in the nVidia phase right now. ATI blew it. LOL I will wait til they come out with something decent first. For now I will stick with the 7900GTXs.

If you can think of something for me to do with this, LMK. I am bored. MUAHAHH I will post a pic of my 2003 servers. =P

I'd edit that screenshot, considering you have the majority of a license key shown, with the last digit obsured and the 2nd to last partially so, which makes it possible to brute force at that point.

You could run DPAD for AT. That machine would pump out a lot of work, plus DPAD automatically loads all cores.

Well, I could run that system in your DPAD club... LOL Plus my server is now a Dual Core 2.6Ghz 4400+ overclock.

That would be... 16.52Ghz donated. LOL My AC in the house would go nuts.

As for the servers... Ok, I will admit... LOL They are NFR. Well one isn't but the others are. I wouldn't even care if someone had both those keys, I still have another 5 unused keys. LOL

It took me about... 5 hours to put it together. Cleaning the ash off the original parts took the longest. LOL

As for the money, the oldest part I have is the floppy drive wich is about 3 months old. So I have actually only paid out of pocket $1,600 for everything I have, and started 3 months ago. I came up on the system pretty fast, and it was a complete system minus the case.

Well i have a copy of 2003EE without a legit key, i also had a batch file to scrub the activation (its what i used whilst studying my now completed MCSA). I'd like to get the server back up and running but im in no dire need for any real use at home.

Ohh by the way I downloaded it via an MSDN login. The key i have is legit but not for activation since i obtained it from my work.
