I couldn't see shit. Pretty scary at first. Also I kept cutting over apexes, hopefully my alignment isn't fubar'd

Overall though, I think these night events are really cool. In addition to getting out of the engine cooking day temperature, it adds another layer of excitement to the driving

Get a lifetime alignment from a chain and tip the guy. If the car doesnt track perfectly straight take it in! Cost me 200 bucks and I've redone it 7 times this year because of suspension parts.

Unless I find one that is a perfectionist like Darren at West End, i'm not switching...lol

I've heard to many horror stories with alignments at firestone or something with camber more than 0.5 degrees different from left to right.

The car still tracks straight though, so relief!

Yeah, if I wasn't following anyone I noticed the s2000 light's coverage area on the road surface abruptly stops not too far ahead of the vehicle. Going into the banked bowl at 95 mph and not seeing where it starts was scary. Fortunately there was cones on the side of the track

awesome! S2000 HID's are some of the best, but for night driving its a bit too sharp for my liking on faster stuff

Manimal when I take my car back to Indy, I was gonna have you guys do allignments, but if you suggest I take it to the chain places I'll do that instead

Alignment racks are crazy expensive. I use a guy close by that gives me alignments cheap enough it doesnt make sense as a capital expenditure yet in my business plan. Eventually I will get one but its a little later in the plan. Dyno and other fun first!

What I did is find the best guy at a local chain. I watched him do the first few for me and tipped him every time. Building relationships is the key with anything.

Wow, I don't think I am going to try that. Pretty cool that there are groups that do hold night events. I cannot imagine barreling down Thunderhill's front straight doing 135 in the dark, especially with the non HID headlights on my car...

I've been to streets and horse thief mile and even though the top speeds are lower I still don't think I would have liked driving either at night!!

driving on track at night adds a whole new level of difficultly i did the longest day with chump car last year at nelson ledges in Oct my first stint in the car was at 9:45 it was pitch black. nothing quite like overshooting a corner with to much speed in a pack of cars cause you misjudged a corner or speed. ive got another 24 hour race at VIR in oct i lookforward to the 4.3 mile grand course at night gonna be a riot. we have 4 HID offroad spot lights on the front of the cars and its still not enough light. its really easy to overdrive the light. nice job!
