You're probably right that simply re-bedding the pads wouldn't work. I should I have said: "clean the rotors and then re-bed the pads" which would restart distributing pad material around the rotor, hopefully without screwing up again.

I've swapped brake pads from side to side and hit the discs with some sandpaper to get rid of glazed/grooved rotor before. Worth a shot and free minus time.

I have one of those. It works maaaaybe 25% of the time. With Honda rotors and pads going well over 100,000 miles between changes, some of those screws aren't coming out without a drill.

Most of the time the impact driver works for me. Try using some anti-seize on the disc retain screw next time.

I went out and gave the car the old italian tune up tonight. I didn't have an empty parking lot so I probably only braked hard once or twice stop signs. It feels a bit better but I don't know if that is placebo since it definitively still skips a beat during highway braking.

It's also really disappointing how much they crimped the accord auto. The ECU is fighting me every time I want to accelerate. After a few jackrabbit starts, it adjusted a bit, but still... that hesitation yo...

Most of the time the impact driver works for me. Try using some anti-seize on the disc retain screw next time.

What I do is to get a bolt/punch about the size of the head of the screw and wack it a few times. THEN I use the impact driver. Repeat the process if the screw still doesn't wanna come out.

Sometimes I find that you will either strip the screw or break the bit on the impact driver if you don't give it a couple good wacks first.
