Might want to put this in the FS/T forum.

You also need to enable your profile. Be prepared to show good references.

This belongs in the For Sale forum, not in 'General Hardware'.

Thats worth $3000? Good luck with it!

WD Raptor 75 GB (gotta have the fastest)

Finally...the 74gb limit has been overcome!

Do I smell something odd here?

He already posted it there. He just decided to post it again here.

This guy's f***ing retarded. He thinks someone is going to send $3000 to a guy with nothing but a hotmail account?

And if he just built it, why did he use a Plextor 712 when the 716 has been available for months? Who would even build that system? A dualie board with one CPU? What, did he get a good deal on the board on eBay? A single Raptor and no other drives? That's terrible.

But if you think about it, you'll be able to get A64 4600+ dual core, G70, WAY cheaper non-ecc memory, way cheaper psu (waste of money there), way cheaper motherboard, faster dvd-write (and cheaper), way nicer and 2x cheaper case, better cpu heatsinks for same price that'll wipe the floor with this system for $3 grand (or way less) in about 1 month's time. Which means this system isnt worth $2 grand even since you can get better hardware without going retarded.

You're right, but he's not selling a dual core G70 machine. I listed all the components he is selling and the price shown above are the current going rates for those parts.

Yeah I am not blaming you sorry. I just think he should have thought a bit before dropping so much a system. Everyone says there is no right time to a buy computer. That simply isnt true. It makes no differences when you buy when you are in-between major upgrade cycles (socket, gpu, etc). But this month, dual-core and new graphics cards come out all that ones, meaning current drops 100% in price and new is close to 100% faster in speed for same price.

You mean they'll be free?

Seriously though, he has a good base high-end machine there. I'd sell the processor and get one of these and later on get another one. I'd keep the graphics card until the G70 came out and then turn around and sell the 6800GT. I'd say you'll be able to sell it for ~$250 then, which isn't bad. So the cost of teh new G70 won't be very bad at all after you apply the $250 you got from the 6800GT. That board he has is also capable of SLI, so two G70s in SLI with quad core processor equals a MONSTER PC! It's a solid machine with good upgrade potential.

That being said, I wouldn't trust a 2 post member unless he could provide some AWESOME background info, or unless he ships first.
