They made Mike way too careless in this season, and especially in this episode. Did not like.
I love this show but it needs to go and it's good that it will soon.
Walter White has become too much of a caracature of a typical drug ring operation leader. It's no longer about slowly losing perspective as much as having a completely different perspective and personality, which is so far off from the original foundation that made the show a hit.
The irony that the operation has gotten too dirty for the original thug, Jesse, but not for Walter is cute but predictable and an over the top conflict imo that doesn't do much for me.
Not that I'll sit this season out.
I think he was rocked after realizing he had to walk away from his granddaughter.
Does anyone know what Mike Erhmantraut did in his previous life, before Gus? Looks like a former cop from Philly or NYC if I had to guess. Just wondering if it was ever divulged in a previous episode where his skillset came from.
He was a Philadelphia cop. We learned that he was a former cop in his monologue about "half measures" in season three, and he told Hank and Gomez that he was a Philadelphia cop when they were interrogating him earlier this season. They referred to his tenure as a cop ending badly, but we don't know specifically what happened.
i bet someone find him eventually and others like the DEA find out hes dead, and i dont think all the shakings go through Saul. im betting they go through Todd and his "prision connections"are we looking at 9 prison shankings thru saul? or 10 with the lawyer?
only walt is going to ever know mike's dead. wonder how that will play out for him.
yes you do, in Half measures he talks about how he was a cop and he was called to a domestic abuse situation, and he let it slide arresting no one and giving warnings "half measures" the dude ended up killing his wife, and mike killed him, which is why he is no longer a cop and is the basis for the no more half measures
:whiste:

todd wont take over, todd will end up getting killed IMO by walt, which will cause all hell to break lose, those "prision connection" and those on the outside associated with them will come for walt, which is the reason for his M60

That's what I took away from the episode too. There is no way in hell that Mike would agree to Walt delivering the bag and no way in hell that he would turn his back on Walt in that situation. Up until this season every moment in the show has been believable with the sole exception of Gus walking out of the room and straightening his tie. But every characters actions have been completely in character. And for 2 minutes they turn Mike from the smartest guy in the operation to a complete moron just so Walt could whack him/ That was complete bullshit.
