Hm, I has mentioned how dark it would be if Walt's son killed him... what if the son found information that would put Walt and Skyler in jail forever, and wanted to turn state's and became a threat...

Now that's dark, and has a poetic circular aspect that Walt kills the person why he did all this in the first place.

I see no basis to believe that Walt would ever participate in killing Walt Jr. under any circumstances, much less Skyler doing so. It just doesn't ring true. For that matter I can't see him hurting or killing either of them.

It is hard to see, but it could happen - take for example, a big violent confrontation between Hank and Walt, Hank going to be killed, the son grabbing a gun aiming at Walt...

I'm just thinking of especially black directions the show could go, and that one does have an especially perverse evil.

They have had Walt and Jesse go from protecting to trying to kill each other a lot. So they're not ashamed to stretch these things a bit.

One minute, they're going to *extreme* lengths to protect the other - staring down the barrel of a gun of a killer - and the next day wanting to kill the other. It could be done.

I agree with you though that it'd be very hard for them to do without seeming to betray the characters and come across as artificial.

They've occassionally stooped to that - like Hank *almost* catching Walt in the trailer and falling as badly as he did for the 'wife in a car crash' ruse.

They did take some chance of betraying Skyler's character by having her ask for a murder - but they pretty much pulled that off, which seemed unlikely earlier.

So I'm not sure how they'd do it and do it well. But if they did, it's be a dark turn.

Question- Walt calls in a favor to Todd "again" right ? Does that mean he orchestrated the shootout in the desert when Lydia met the cooks? Was it to get Lydia off his back ?

Yes. He probably wants to pay them to take out Jesse. They're probably more interested in having him cook again.

Probably not - I think Uncle Jack, Lydia, and crew just want the methylamine and the high purity meth from it.

So they want Jesse to cook again, Hank wants him as a witness and Walt wants him dead. Should be an interesting triangle

Walt does not call in a favor. He says "I think I might have another job for your uncle". As Todd's uncle was the guy who made the jailhouse hits happen, that implies that Walt wants to hire him for another hit. And given the timing of the call it's clearly Jesse who is the intended target.

They want Walt to cook again. Well, anyone, but it's Walt they're in touch with. I think they'll try to barter with Walt - We'll do the hit on Jesse, but you cook a batch or two til Todd gets up to speed.

Right now Lydia is the only one who cares about purity, we can't assume anything else because we never saw her talking to Todd & Company about the subject, but we DID see Todd's uncle and whoever the other guy was asking only Todd himself if he's ready to cook and run "his own" lab after the Declan massacre.

It's probably a good speculation that Todd's quality won't be nearly up to snuff and at the behest of Lydia they might require Walt to re-teach him in order to do the Jesse hit, but the show is literally telling us that these guys only have experience in killing and this would be their first go at manufacturing, also they are kind of sloppy as we saw with Todd's uncle leaving behind physical evidence at a resturaunt, so we're led to believe they are mostly brawn and little brain, especially with the smartest of the group (Todd) stupidly blabbing about the train heist. We also don't know what kind of distribution system they'll be using, maybe it all goes to the Czech, maybe they try to sell it locally too, although if Lydia really is "careful with who she does business with" then I would think her pitch would be for selling exclusively to the Czech.

So does the pink teddy bear in the tree mean Jesse is going to die?

I could have watched that scene 1000 times and not noticed the teddy bear in the tree. It's shown up in some really crazy places where Jesse is, maybe there is something to it and maybe not. It might be interesting to go back and watch a couple of the scenes to see what Jesse is doing/saying/feeling at the time to see if it's inserted to mark key moments.
