What about the Native American guy that used his pickup truck to push the dump truck off from the railroad tracks? I think he will be shown to have noticed something of what was going on during the tanker car heist.

yeah, i guess you're right... this show is WAAAAY too intelligently written... a dude gets his face blown off and walks out of a room and fixes his tie... intelligent and realistic.

That scene was epic. Well worth that lack of realism.

it's funny that now as a viewer i'm starting to root for the downfall of walt. used to be the total opposite of that.

they are doing a great job of slowly turning the audience against him instead of for him.

Heh... So much for what was likely to be the last chance of a happy ending to this show

No early retirement for Mr. White... He's going down in a hail of gunfire!

Great episode, some good dialog after all the action from the last episode. Introducing Jesse to Skylar may have some impact in the 2nd half. Walt's obviously insane, and still holding on to the Grey Matter sellout as I suspected. They addressed the Todd thing pretty quick, but it's small potatoes now.

I thought Skyler was going to spill the beans to Marie for a minute there. Also I predict major shit is going down at the beginning of the next episode.

It's funny. Earlier tonight (before seeing the episode) I was conversing with someone else about the show and we both commented on how the interactions between Gretchen and Walt were never really fleshed out. It certainly seemed like there had possibly been some sort of affair or relationship between the two in the past, but their awkwardness around each other was never fully explained.

Just a coincidence that we happened to bring it up tonight when she and Grey Matter hadn't even been a topic of discussion since like Season 2 (I think).

I wonder if it will come up again or if it's just going back into obscurity.

i like how they can show a dude shooting a 14 year old kid in cold blood but censor out fuck

Seriously. Also don't forget a liquified body falling through the floor and a guy's head being stuck on the top of a turtle.

the dinner scene was hilarious. the only time skyler ever met jesse was when she thought he was walt's weed connection right?

walt could have just wedged a piece of metal in the zip tie and undone it. kind of reckless of mike to use just 1 zip tie with a smart guy like walt.

any significance to todd taking the tarantula?

This show is getting desperately stupid.

Fine, he can chew through electrical cord... even the metal... and the leads make a sparky torchy implement that melts zip tie... and the power strip doesn't trip... fine.

I guess that they're carting around a mobile meth lab (and Walt disassembled it all by himself tonight)... so I should just accept this other stuff too.

I don't think chewing through braided wire is unreasonable, lots of tiny strands you could easily break through. The leads would spark, I'm sure many have seen that. Not sure he could've burnt through the zip tie so easily but the principle isn't crazy. And the power strip isn't a breaker (or at least doesn't necessarily contain a breaker) so I don't see why you think it should trip.

Anyway there have been much stupider things on the show (e.g., Fring's zombie moment), I think chewing through a wire is pretty low on the scale of unreasonableness for this show (or any show).

Not sure why he even bothered with using the electrical cord to free himself. He could've easily undo the zip-tie with items that's on him.

The song Walter was whistling when he went back to work in their makeshift lab for those that didn't catch it (I admit I had to look it up myself) was "The Lily of the Valley"... Wonder if Jesse caught on to that. I know he paused for a minute, either for that reason or for simply Walt not caring about the kid dying.

Didn't walt take everything out of his pockets so what else could he had used?

I think it was more because it showed he didn't care about the kid.

It showed Walter just looked at the kids death as an unfortunate incident that's just part of the cost of doing business.

No, Mike did that for him.

Thanks, couldn't place the song. Jesse seemed to let it go since he was already feeling bad and Walt just gave him a pretty deep and thoughtful talking to, but it's almost like Walt's trying to alienate himself from everyone now and burn all bridges.
