Personally I thought it was more of a case of while he’s gained his empire, he’s lost everything that mattered to him. When you remove the reason he was doing it in the first place (his kids are living somewhere else, his wife wishes his cancer back) it’s not hard to see him realizing he needs his life back.

Cancer or not, I think it really hit him with Skylar showed him all the money they had.

Could you imagine that locker on Storage Wars

I really want to pretend that not only do I have no clue what Storage Wars is, that it wasn't the first thought I had when I saw the locker.

Saw this "Breaking Bald" pic on Reddit. Always thought it was funny that most of the people on the show have no hair.

Everyone's making too much off Walter to let him walk away easily. I wouldn't be surprised to see the brotherhood want a piece now as well.

ok haven't read the comments, just saw it, a few things

1. Hank thing at the end is a letdown in a sense that it was too easy.
2. I think Walt lied about being out, and ends up on the run with both his buyers and dea on his ass, hence the serious firepower in the begining episode.

I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying the brotherhood's gonna go after Walt. It was a one time deal and their business is done.

yeah, i agree with this. there wasn't exactly any sort of character development or anything to suggest they play any major role other than doing a job.

Yeah, I think that's probably right. Todd is a bit of a potential wild card, but other than killing that kid (a major strike against him, though IMO it was a totally defensible judgment call under the circumstances), he has always been shown as bright, honest and reliable.

Just for the sake of argument, you're still wrong. That's why police ask if they can come into your house if they suspect anything. Once you say yes, what they find inside is fair game. Walt invited Hank over for dinner... unlawful not found.
Having someone for a family function isn't the same as telling a cop at the door "Yes you can come in and look around".

Saul would win that one. Walt is covered by the 4th amendment...
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

The book would be ruled "fruit of the poisonous tree".

i think most people assume that the bank lady told the DEA about all the boxes including the 1 he put the large sum in for her. granted she only opened it once but she may have remembered the number

yeah but that was the first time she opened it and remember she couldnt remember all the numbers to begin with so now add a new number onto that its possible to forget. But im sure they have them all registered anyway so they just have to look up records.

I don't think so. I have never worked on a case like this (actually I've never heard of a situation where a police officer stumbled across evidence while a guest in someone's home), so I don't know whether there is case law on this type of scenario, but I don't think this evidence would necessarily be excluded because Hank was not engaged in any overreaching behavior or even any law-enforcement activities. The book was left in plain sight in a room of the house regularly used by all guests, of whom Hank was one. Hank would need a warrant to conduct further investigation, but I don't think a court would generally treat this evidence as improperly gathered.

Even if the evidence was thrown out of court, *Hank still knows*. He's not just going to drop the case because one piece of evidence is thrown out - he's going to have Walt, and everyone Walt knows, under an insane amount of surveillance and just wait it out until someone makes a mistake and lands him some real evidence, or reason enough to start pulling search warrants on everyone.

it's obvious that walt will die in the end, naturally or unnaturally. there's no way he would spend 1 day in prison.

The book itself would be inadmissible, but the book pointing towards Walt being Heisenberg would be a completely legal starting point. The cops could use that information to focus all their energy on Walt and find some legit evidence.

I'm in for 10 packs! YGPM!

As BrokenVisage posted earlier, The Candy Lady in Old Town Albuquerque is selling meth candy (blue rock candy) for $1/bag, available online +$10 shipping.

local story

If there are enough takers I'd be willing to take orders for people here via PM and paypal, go pick the contraband and ship them to people at cost - $1 per bag +tax +bubble envelope or box +usps postage.

Send me a PM if interested with how many you might be interested in. No promises yet, as it will depend on interest warranting the time/gas investment. I'm not over there often, altho ironically passed by them today. Once confirmed it would require paypal pre-payment before making the purchases.

Only condition...you have to have previously posted in this thread to qualify (or atleast be a previously established member of this forum). I'm not looking to run a non-profit meth candy operation for the intarweb's Breaking Bad fan base.

In high school, I wore the same shoes as Walt. What comes around, goes around.
