The marathon didn't start tonight, now the menu for Dish and AMC shows it starting next week.

Sal.

Saul.

\glad to clarify this for everyone.

lol beat me to it.

I started re-watching BB from the beginning for the hell of it and began to speculate on what/who the M60 is for. I can't help but wonder about the Gus storyline and what was so special about him back in Chile that Don Eladio wouldn't kill him or even go into business with him. I'm thinking that past catches up with Walt and that's who he's after, though it doesn't explain what he's doing in New England. Madrigal is another possibility, I can't help but feel there's more there that hasn't been explored, plus Lydia is a huge wildcard hanging out there that Mike was always harping about taking care off. This might be more feasible then the Past Gus story because Mike probably knew about who he was and would have got the hell away from Walt in that case. Either way, can't wait for August 11th.

hes not in New England hes still in ABQ

this season is set up to be Walt vs Hank

the wild card is going to be Gus's past, The Brand or the Russian Mob (whoever he selling to over seas) as i really don't see him going to war with the DEA

Yeah, he's just using a New Hampshire drivers license. It's made clear that he's still in New Mexico and is using a fake identity. Although it's entirely possible in the year that elapsed between the end of season 4 and the flash-forward opening at the start of season 5 that he could have tried to escape to New Hampshire to avoid Hank and the DEA and is only back in town for some final showdown.

I remember that Walt and Lydia were dealing meth in the Czech Republic. Perhaps the Russian mob is pissed?

His #1 problem is that Hank now knows he's Heisenberg. He's got to get out of that before the Russian mob, the cartel, Madrigal or any other major player can get to him. The DEA is a far more immediate concern.

The train robbery episode (it's called Dead Freight) is amazing. The episodes that follow it are increasingly intense. To me, because of the show's self-contained arc (as Vince Gilligan puts it, seeing Mr. Chips become Scarface), it gets more and more compelling over time. I can't wait for the final eight - it seems clear that (unlike other serialized shows of this caliber, like the Sopranos or the Wire) these will be the show's most interesting and action packed episodes.

The titles and brief tag lines have been released for the final run of episodes. Could be spoilers:

The titles of 514 and 515 are interesting.

Episode 509 -- "Blood Money": As Walt and Jesse adjust to life outside of the business, Hank grapples with a troubling lead.

Episode 510 -- "Buried": While Skyler's past catches up with her, Walt covers his tracks. Jesse continues to struggle with his guilt.

Episode 511 -- "Confessions": Jesse decides to make a change, while Walt and Skyler try to deal with an unexpected demand.

Episode 512 -- "Rabid Dog": An unusual strategy starts to bear fruit, while plans are set in motion that could change everything.

Episode 513 -- "To'hajiilee": Things heat up for Walt in unexpected ways. (The title is the name of a Navajo reservation in New Mexico.)

Episode 514 -- "Ozymandias": Everyone copes with radically changed circumstances.

Episode 515 -- "Granite State": Events set in motion long ago move toward a conclusion.

Episode 516 -- "Felina": The series finale.

I want Skyler and a big white plastic barrel to become acquainted. I am assuming that the flash forward of episode 501 will be revealed. The part where Walt is spelling out 52 with his bacon at Dennys.

I don't agree with the Skyler hate. She is an interesting character and the dynamic between her and Walt creates some interesting tension. Morally she does not deserve to die, even if she can be annoying sometimes. Yes, I'm sure the final episode will include the M60 that Walt was buying in 501, probably in some kind of final standoff between him and Hank. We shall see . . .

Amen! Her "annoying behavior" is completely reasonable, if you take a step back and look at the circumstances from her perspective, considering what she actually knows about the situation.
I guess everyone who feels she's so annoying expected her to fully support Walt even though he was lying to her for so long? *shrug*

I don't agree. Her behavior is completely unreasonable for a mother with a handicapped son and a baby daughter. It's not her failure to support Walt that's annoying, it's her refusal to pick a side. She sort of in with Walt and sort of apart. Sort of supportive of the business and sort of aloof. Sort of protective of the family and still putting them in harms way. She's smugly self-satisfied in being so much better than Walt and in some ways so much worse. She looks down on Marie's kleptomania while being a much bigger criminal. She's the only character in the show whose motivations are not clear. It's like the writers were never given a direction for the character and every episode she's somebody different. And every one of them is a whiny bitch.

There was only one moment in the entire five season run when I liked Skylar. When she tricked Bogdan into selling the car wash it looked like she had finally turned the corner and gone all-in on Walt's life of crime. But nope, she went back to being whiny, smug, wishy-washy and pretty much useless.

Its more about having something shocking by killing her rather than anything else for me. I want to see some Se7en type of shit, screw the typical happy ending. Just go out with something so big people cant and will not stop talking about it.

When I first starting watching the last season I really began to hate Skyler. However I have to agree with you after I think about it.

She was annoying as hell right from the beginning, though. Before there was any crime going on.

I agree with this, but I also think it was written that way on purpose. As the series started out you were meant to like Walt and feel sympathy for him - her being a crazy annoying wife on top of his cancer while having a handicap kid and a new born baby all make you feel sorry for Walt and actually root for him (at least through the first part of the series).
