This is the biggest story in the last 70 years. Its so big we will still be wrapping our heads around it in 30 years.
IMO only if the American populace are willing to to go all the way to pursue justice, because if they're not, $$$ will speak louder than any normal pursuit of justice, and billions of dollars will line the pockets of lawyers pursuing cases that will last decades and will result in a useless manner. Unfortunately enough of the populace have been indoctrinated with the idea that protesting is bad.Excellent. With any luck this entire traitorous cabinet ends up in Hell still wearing the ropes around their necks.
I'm getting tired of posting the phrase "the plot thickens" ever since the leaks started over Trump's surrogates having contacts with Russians pre/during Trump's campaign, but this angle just keeps on giving/growing, one drip at a time.
The only thing that I see that really matters is if Trump can choke off/corrupt the investigative process well enough for him to survive the emerging onslaught of damaging information being revealed to the media.
Interestingly, the contrast between Trump's supporters and his detractors seems to be getting sharper and more intense the more it becomes apparent that Trump's involvement with the Putin "gov't" is real and of growing concern.
Things certainly looks bad for the Trump camp at the moment. Yet, the guy has gotten himself into some deep shit before and I wouldn't put it past him to somehow get away with crimes that others wouldn't be able to.
He's already brought to gov't a "new normal" in the area of refusing to reveal his tax returns and mixing his business interests with his job as POTUS and for now it does seem he'll get away with it, as well as how blatant and brazen he has been with mouthing off obvious baseless lies, gets proven as lies, doubles down on them and then gets forgotten about as if it all never happened. His credibility with his supporters hasn't suffered a single iota from the numerous lies and falsehoods he's been caught saying and tweeting about. It's all good and business as usual as far as they're concerned.
It's worrisome that the guy can do no wrong as far as his supporters are concerned, and Trump keeps pushing the limits of that circumstance with no apparent ill effect.
As someone else previously posted, when is enough, enough?
When USSR was all about sharing and caring (even under the threat of a gun) the Republicans were appalled by them. Now that Russia is all gangs and rich oligarchies they find much more in common.
Dam son. Speak the truth a little louder wont you?
You know, behind all this I still dream of a day where Russia is a member of Nato, so on and so forth.
^^Problem with the first part of the above theory is many wealthy guys don't like Trump. He's a braggart and boorish to them too.
Can someone (not a Trump supporter, or a closet one) give me a summary of the alleged Russian connection?
Can you start narrowing down your question at all?
Can someone tell me what everything in reality is?
