I just found out my aunts friend's kid goes to that school. Parents are heading over there now.....hope they are ok.
They should legalize torture for cases like this. Put this scumbag in the city square and tie him up to the pole.
Give him minimal water and food to survive as people from the town and surrounding cities/states come visit to poke at him.

Taking them away from law abiding citizens will not keep criminals from getting them. Look at how many people still get illegal drugs everyday in this country, how many gangbangers get guns on the street everyday. All gun control laws will do is raise the prices of guns on the black market.

My point being that assault rifles and firearms make it a lot easier for crazy people to do crazy things.

Disclaimer - I am not for banning guns just posting something I just thought of.
With all this banning guns talk I just thought of something. We always talk about banning guns not having an effect because criminals will still find ways to get them. But what about cases like this and the theater shooter.
These aren't criminals, would stricter gun laws prevent ordinary people who are fucked in the head but not full time criminals from getting their hands on them? These aren't the typical people who have the underground/black market connections to buy illegal guns.
On that same note, how many times have you seen typical criminal types, such as gang bangers and drug dealers commit mass shootings as this?

look, law abiding citizens become criminals when they legally buy guns and shoot up schools. take away the guns and, guess what, a decrease in school shootings. will they probably still happen? yeah. will they happen at a frequency of once per month anymore? proibably not.
in all honesty, better gun control will be the answer. allowing people to only buy guns that need to be reloaded after firing a couple times is probably the best answer. you can still hunt and protect yourself, but you can't go around shooting up schools for extended periods of time spraying off over a hundred bullets. seriously, it's like bolt action rifles and revolvers should be the only legal firearms anymore.

Every time an incident happens like this, everyone talks about banning guns. However, very few people seem to ever bring up the biggest issue: the abysmal state of mental healthcare across much of the world. Even if you ban all guns, it doesn't really solve the problem. You still have hordes of sick and potentially dangerous people not getting the care they sorely need.
The problem really started when they began closing the lunatic asylums in the 60s and replaced them with community level care. It left the burden of care in the hands of the sick, who often are unfit to make rational decisions. The community care has proven inadequate at helping mentally ill people. The asylums may have been terrible places but at least it gave them somewhere to go where they'd be able to get long term care. Instead we decided in our infinite wisdom to put dangerous people out on the streets assuming they'd be responsible enough to take their meds.
The other part of the problem is that we as a society like to pretend mental illness doesn't exist. Even when someone shows symptom after symptom, nobody says anything. There's still a huge stigma about it. That's got to change. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Yes, mental health treatment is very poor in this country.
But they are linked. If you allow mentally ill people to go to walmart and buy semi-auto weapons then there is going to be problems. In other countries mentally ill people usually go on rampages with knives and not with guns right from a rambo movie.
