I'm not seeing the upside of having a boner when I'm digging into some fried food.

Agreed. Perhaps its because I am more mature "older' now but Places like this have lost their luster to me. The first time I ate at a Hooters was in 1985 ... the last probably 2003. The number of times in-between those visits = none.

I'm always surprised at how this forum full of what I would assume to be technically sound minds (and therefore edging towards the logical sides of arguments) continues to may illogical, irrational, and absurd arguments towards common culture. On one hand its expected, as nerds have a hard-on for demeaning anything pop-ish or "common". On the other hand its odd that they would may illogical and silly arguments in doing so.

Babysitters' boobs generally don't make breast milk tailored for someone else's baby.

Plus I never one insinuated taking myself, let alone a child to one of these crappy hooters-like places. Been there a few times with co-workers, and about the only entertaining thing about said venues was how idiotic my co-workers would get even before they touched a single beer.

My point? Wouldn't it be nice if there were restaurants where parents with small children were WELCOMED? That non-sympathetic asshats like you basically know to stay away from? Being a parent, methinks yes. Then EVERYBODY can be happy.

I imagine the last thing a parent with a whining kid wants to hear when eating out, is other parent's whining kids. That's probably such places don't exist.

Never heard of places like chucky cheese although most of those are gone now?

I am sure there are similar things out there for kids kinda like playland in the fast food restaurants as they generally are in a separate room for a reason but full fledged kid places would work better although he is talking about a baby thus no real places for just those as they at most crawl around.

Hooters has been horrible every time I've gone. Tilted Kilt is somewhat better, but dinning out is somewhat meh unless it's fine dinning.

A logical, well thought-out argument by a member of AT ... and with a sig that states "I'm for poop."

Got it ... can you provide a link? If you reference a thread in your sig it must be worth reading.

Thanks ...

I tried to do a lookup but I think the thread was removed. It was some L&R rant about a girl who was always down on herself and said things that included "I'm for poop". It was a bad Engrish thread.

Don't have any of those here except Hooters. Tilted Kilt looks slutty in a "classier" way than Hooters.

Here, we have unofficial titty restaurants. They're chains called Moxies and Jack Astor's. I have not been to the former, but rumour has it that they only hire amateur models -- whatever that means. Jack Astor's keeps skirts very short, minimal action up top.

Are you in Canada? I swear the Moxies in London Ontario has some of the most beautiful girls I've seen!

Yes. Online rumour says they are very selective when hiring for Moxies. Something about going through modelling agencies -- not that hard considering how many aspiring "models" are out there.

Bone Daddy's is pretty tasty, both the food and view. Used to go there once every other week with friends at work when our office was less than 5 minutes away.

I was only in a Hooters once, and the cooks were treating the waitresses so poorly that I felt bad even dining there.

I just don't see the appeal of paying high prices for shitty food.

I did write '...to get a hot waitress/one in skimpy clothes' at the end of that. But that's not even true. You're about as likely to get waited on by a hot chick at fuckin' Applebees or something.

At the Hooters near me, most of the waitstaff look like adolescents still waiting on boobs to possibly appear on their chest. So take that, and add it to the fact that I still wouldn't pay extra for an actual hot waitress....and, yeah, fuck Hooters and their clones. How pathetisad do you have to be to pay for attention from a female waitress at a shitty restaurant?

i've been to hooters once or twice - the food was revolting and the girls acted like my very bestest friends in the whole world. their routine was well rehearsed: "ugh, i'm so glad you cool guys came tonight, everyone else is so lame..."

yeah, ok. what on this menu doesn't suck?

Free idea for anyone willing to run with it.

Start a restaurant chain near major airports and business hubs that has good drinks, good steaks and good appetizers. Dress the waitresses in sexy/slutty business attire with short skirts, long hair, glasses, etc. They can have their hair up when they first approach the table and then lower it after taking orders for drinks or something and regress to a business casual type, conversational type of service.

Money, hand over fist, guaranteed.

Most restaurants have good looking waitresses who wear short skirts so I don't really see the point in branding your whole restaurant around it.

So you never heard of babysitters to begin with as you assumed the kid would have to be abandoned and now you never heard of bottles.

You talked about bringing your kids out while everyone else talked about these places so it was implied.

As for the restaurants that welcome kids there are but no one was talking about those here.

You can't leave boobs with babysitters. I understand what you're trying to say, but there are reasons to NOT use bottles.

Chuck-e-Cheese is NOT a restaurant, and what they serve is not called food, and it's most definitely not a place where a parent could, should or would want to ever take any child below the age of about 5 years old.

I don't expect people to understand what's involved in raising a child, and why it is a bad thing to try to shun new families from public. Other than the obvious elitist attitude of people like you who simply perpetuate the situation that we have with how children are raised today, there's a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to raising kids. There's a reason the cliche "It takes a village" exists, whether you like it or not. Unfortunately because of attitudes like yours, we end up with the maladjusted self-entitled non-respecting brats that turn into people like you as adults.
