It seems like all the hooters in the Seattle area closed. Can't remember the last time I went to one. Not surprising, most do not deliver as advertise.

I'm a man and I like boobs. No shame in it. I also like greasy calorie-high food. If I'm going to a place like this I don't expect gourmet food. I expect run-of-the-mill bar type food. Guess what!? I want to see women with ample cleavage without being judged or ridiculed. Hooters sound like a place that fits the bill but in actuality could not live up to the hype. Quite a few of the girls I saw were late teens or early 20s with barely budding breasts. The owners did a really poor job of being selective in the application process. Not saying there aren't good ones. A few do exist. In fact, the one I happen to visit in Amarillo, TX was excellent in that regard. A bunch of fake titties but they were excellent nonetheless. On top of the less than B cup girls, the Hooters that was in my area also wanted to be family friendly. The last time my buddies and I went, we saw kids and moms. WTF. No single man wants to ogle at breasts in a family setting.

I went to the Tilted Kilt today with my girlfriend. The staff and our waitress were great. Their signature sauce for the wings wasn't anything special as it was just sweet chile sauce. The food wasn't anything special although the beer was nice and cold. I don't think I would go back.

Wings and beer alone don't provide enough income,that's why Hooters almost went broke. In order to survive they need to sell whole meals to packed tables.

You can't get good food and good strippers in the same place. Any place with good food doesn't need skanky waitresses to sell it. And any place that tries to half-ass the stripper part will probably half-ass the food too. Hooters sure did. If you have to ogle women and eat, break them into two separate activities. Eat at a good restaurant and ogle somewhere else.

This is just all wrong.

In many states the law requires bars to have a full kitchen, open any time alcohol is served.
The main way strip clubs in Eugene and Springfield compete is by offering better food than the other guy.

Its also how bars in Virginia compete (since I think strip clubs must be illegal here).

In San Antonio there is several Hooters, a Tilted Kilt, a Twin Peaks, and many other breastaurants.

Hooters is bleh. Some of them have a decent girl or two, and some have nothing I want to look at. The customer service always sucks at hooters, the food is hit and miss with lately more miss. On top of that the bar doesn't have a liquor license so can only serve beer, wine, and margaritas here.

Twin Peaks is bleh as well. There is only one here and there are only a few decent looking girls. I mean like 3 out of their entire line up is worth looking at. The food is pricier and not really great. It wasn't bad either at least. Again hit and miss like Hooters, but far more hits than misses compared to Hooters. At least it has a full bar. Since there is only 1 in a popular area the place is ALWAYS packed. Which means you get shit for service unless you are a massive regular.

Tilted Kilt is much better than the other two. Food has been 90% good thus far with only 1 bleh meal I've had. Full bar, and MOST of the girls working there are damn good looking. Like Hooters and Twin Peaks though, it is hit and miss on the service. A few of the girls are damn good on service and some expect a tip because they have tits in a push up bra. Price is damn good and the manager is actually really nice. I had 1 girl screw me on my order and the manager comped the whole thing. Basically since I've been doing Atkins, I drink nothing by rum and diet coke. Girl brought me a second drink but it didn't taste like the drink I ordered. When she managed to come back, she was being REALLY slow when it wasn't all that busy, and I asked it if it was rum & DC she said yes.... oh wait that might have been a mixed up with coke and jack. Soon as she said that I realized that was it. I only had 2 drinks off it so it was still mostly full. Although that meant I was without a drink for most of my meal. She took it away and came back with the drink I actually ordered. I asked for the bill after that. It came back with not only the two drinks I ordered, but that one I DID NOT order. I was like WTF???? I was a bit upset over that and went over to the manager on that. Told him that not only did she fuck up my drink order and more than likely kicked me off my diet, but also charged me for the fuck up. He took it off right there no problem. So right now the place gets my business because of that. Beyond that one bad experience it's been decent in there.


The other breastaurant around here is Bikini's. I've been to two different ones here and both have been great. Most of the girls good looking. Food is pretty good. Prices are good. The customer service from most of the girls have been good too. The only problem is that I would have to drive now quite a distance to go to one. It used to be where I went for good food, good service, decent price, and mostly good eye candy.

The places that serve a mess of grease and shitty beer around here don't stay around here long regardless of the wait staff. Now that there is more competition in this category of restaurant. Which is why Hooters was losing money for awhile and had to shut down locations. If your food sucks, service sucks, beer is watered down badly, and everything is over priced then no one is going to enter your place that isn't a die hard fan of it or completely naive. There is a reason I avoid the Hooters around here. I've been to all locations in San Antonio and haven't been to one I liked at all. Most of the girls aren't even all that good looking either.

Now there are plenty of other places around here with actual good food for a good price and much better looking girls that actually do good service. You'll still get your occasional idiot female that thinks she deserves tips because she looks hawt despite she sucks as a server. I have zero problem leaving them a minimal or even zero tip. Don't do the job, and don't get the money. Those that provide great service and go beyond just making sure my food is out on time and drinks are always full get a much bigger tip. Never hurts to say a few words with your patrons and make them feel like they are eating in good company.

I think a lot of women (I'm assuming these places hire only 18 or above) are aware of what they are getting into, and that this is more or less a costume to attract a certain clientele. And at that age, they have the bodies to do it, so why not enjoy it while they can? It's not like it will derail their whole lives just wearing skimpy clothes at a part time job. My wife is a doctor now, it didn't impact her negatively .
