I have no idea what countries I'm allowed to go to right now! Frankly I'm not entirely surely if I'm allowed to leave the house and what I'm allowed to do when I do!
Im just going to stay in bed!

As far as I can tell a large percentage of Brexit supporters believe demonstrably untrue things about what Brexit is and its likely results, so they are supporting it based on magical thinking. This is the same issue with Trump supporters in the US.

As a nice cross country example here’s what the Economist found from some Trumpkins. They praised his:

1) honesty
2) work on lowering the national debt
3) having China pay money to our farmers
4) finally getting health care ‘done’
5) building of the wall

They are just living in a fantasy world. Similarly, it seems like U.K. conservatives think Brexit means:

1) not abiding by EU market regulations but getting to remain in the market
2) not having to abide by EU freedom of movement laws but still getting to move freely wherever they want

In both cases they have substituted what they wish were true for what is true.

I remember reading or listening to bits of that Economist report where they interviewed those idiots in Ohio. I just can't stomach the ignorance of these people anymore.

A what now?

Don't bring the wife into this!
A beer growler is a container or vessel that is used for the transport of beer. It can also be described as an air-tight jug, typically made out of glass, ceramic or stainless steel that allows you to take draft beer from one place to another without a degradation of quality.

Around about 1 US gallon around here - enough for a weekend...when I was much younger

Good plan! Although there is a microbrewery around the corner that delivers. I'm not sure how much extra I'll have to pay him to bring the bottles to the bedroom door though!
Bottles? Get a growler!

Around the corner you say? If you're willing to try and catch it, a growler tossed by a trebuchet would make that distance pretty easy. Be advised, the launching of higher alcohol, flammable items is strongly discouraged.

You know...the funny thing is that the Queen actually has the sovereign power to tell all the tossers to sod off and that Brexit is done, the UK is remaining, so fuck all you twats and get on with it.

She literally does.

But she hasn't exercised that power for any reason in her...whatever 80 years in charge.
Except that one time in 1975 when her Australian representative "meddled" in Australian politics.

Arguably "the Canberra Coup" wasn't really the Queen exercising her personal power so much, as the British government using that power (possibly on behalf of the US?). As I understand it, that's generally what happens - the powers of 'the Crown' are as undemocratic as they've always been, but they don't really get used by the monarch for their personal whims, they just give a lot of direct power to the PM.

But isn't that what we all agreed upon in the treaty of Grewnndsereddyserssiyrmszxyyymwyshd that the world signed back in 1982--The Welsh keep their quaint language, street signs, and sheep without the rest of us bothering them about it, as long as they all stay within their own homes and agree not to travel too far.

I mean if there were regular beer and kebab deliveries in that I'd be fine with it!

Boris is NOT having a great 2020

"Biden has spoken publicly about the matter before, tweeting in September: "We can't allow the Good Friday Agreement that brought peace to Northern Ireland to become a casualty of Brexit. Any trade deal between the U.S. and U.K. must be contingent upon respect for the Agreement and preventing the return of a hard border. Period." "

- *BOOOOOOOOM*

(lets just say that Boris *neeeeeeeeeeeds* that free trade agreement with the US)

This farrago is still rumbling on. I don't really understand what's going on at this point - seems like Johnson is still attempting to negotiate the deal he claimed he already had before he became PM - but it's still an embarrassing fiasco, even if Trump and the virus have distracted everyone's attention.

"Oven ready deal" he called it back then. Yet he keeps opening the oven and attempting to alter the ingredients.

A scene from any point in the last four years:

*google for Brexit news*

*stare confusedly at screen for an hour*

*close search window*

If you're not from the UK, that's probably for the best for your sanity.

I wonder if one day there will be stories exchanged between recovered Trump and Brexit supporters; "Do you remember when we fell for this idiotic shit?"

More likely between the scarred children of dead Trump/Brexit supporters methinks.

A large proportion of trumpers will never recover, they're just too invested.

like trump, they will never admit they made a mistake.

I will admit that I did not foresee the English Premier League as another casualty of Brexit. Seems like the best international players will now have to think twice before signing with an English team—and England will have to get any transfers approved by regulatory bodies now. Prepare for another age of mediocre English football.

The running argument from Brexiters seems to be remainers have sabotaged this by not being sufficiently enthusiastic about Brexit.
Its a British way of saying the the Remainers didn't use enough "thoughts and prayers"!
