3.2 Prescott w/2GB we'll see how it works out.

It has handled other 1080P clips fine.

Using what compression? H.264 is compressed tremendously, and requires a decent amount of CPU power to decompress.

Now, my G4 PowerBook is brought to its knees by 1080p, but can play 720p relatively Okay.

So this one played okay?

a) I don't have the login/pass, and b) My G5 is packed away for my trip home from school. I am just saying all other 1080p videos I have thrown at it in H.264 have played fine.

Argh, I searched for threads that Goosemaster originated, and I only found the login/pass for the free ATOT FTP server, which apparently has different credentials. Will anyone show some kindness?!?

It works with nero showtime but drops frames when "action" occurs. Like, all of them.

A64 3000+ @ 2.25 GHz 1 GB ram 9800 AIW

VLC, WMP, and MPC all crash.

Thanks. Goosemaster, how good are you on bandwidth? -- I can make a .torrent once I download it and seed it with two Internet lines.

It crashed in MPC but I went to ffdshow and put h.264 from libavcodec to disabled & it didnt crash after that... I got 21 frames average and on the action frames it would dip down to 13 frames & even single digits, I'm on 3.2 p4c.

ouch!

As I said though, motion a LOT smoother than the .ts because of the deinterlacing.....it practically looks like 1080p

No problems whatsoever with ShowTime.

Playing that + playing files via Yahoo Music Engine + playing poker + collecting stats via Poker Tracker + 5 IE windows.

Prescott 3.2, 2 GB, NV41 (native PCI-E 6800 NU).

Both virtual CPU's sitting around 50-70%.

Did you dl the H.264 codecs Goose posted above? I don't understand how it could run so well on my system and so poorly on others.

He did not post any links to codecs. I have ffdshow and VLC media player.
